This week’s CanYouCaseIt.com challenge is a very special one. For the 100th CYCI challenge we are doing a Blog Hop AND Blog Candy!
Here is this week’s sketch…
…and here is my card.
To make it even more special, I’m giving you a sneak peek at some of the new products that will be available to order on January 5 from the 2016 Occasions Catalog.
Both patterned papers are from the new Have a Cuppa Designer Series Paper Stack. The stack is very colorful, but these two patterns look stately, calm, and rather masculine.
The Crushed Curry dot, from the new It’s My Party Enamel Dots, adds a little pop of color.
The sentiment is from the new Greatest Greetings stamp set, which has 15 different sentiments in an adorable font:
The card base and mats for both panels are Basic Grey and Bermuda Bay card stock. The sentiment is stamped in Bermuda Bay on Whisper White.
Here’s what I used:

Love the card not having anything but DSP and a simple sentiment. I always seem to try and fill all my space so I like the openness of the card. The patterns of the DSP are also very “busy” and everything works well together. Love it.
You didn’t have a big “King” guy in mind when you made this card did you? Since the King celebrated a birthday this week, Mr. 15 Layers would love this card. ?
Happy birthday Brian King???
No, Gigi, I didn’t actually have him in mind, but I think over time my style has been influenced by his, as it has been by so many talented card makers. I used to try to cover every bit of the card, too, but I’m learning to leave more “white space” now.
Your use of new products are great and make the wait even harder! Thank you!
Very nice! Simple and sweet – perfect for any man! 🙂
Cute card! Masculine cards are a challenge for me so Thank You for the idea!
Hi Candy! I love the colors on the card. They are a break from holiday colors without being full spring.
Good morning. Always enjoy your inspiration.
Dixie

Wow, what a great guy card! Love the open spaces!!!
You always give me new ideas on how to use our products. Typically I would pair either of these DSP papers with something more bold, but the way you used them together totally works. I am personally still
having trouble with the empty space , but I am trying.

Wonderful color combinations. Thank you for the chance to win blog candy.
Love this card. I have mostly men in my life (other than dear friends of course) so I really appreciate the masculine ideas. Also, would love the blog candy, as I do not have any of those things. So generous! Thanks
