Today’s project is a very simple birthday card. I made it using the Bloom & Grow stamp set, Bird Ballad Designer Series Paper, and Stitched Nested Labels Dies. I just lose this paper. The artist who designed it used Stampin’ Blends Markers to hand color the designs give them a soft blended look.

Here’s what I made:

Stampin' Up! Bird Ballad DSP Nexted Lavel Dies and Bloom and Grow stamps handmade by Candy Ford of Stamp Candy

Here’s what I did:

Cut and scored with my paper trimmer:

  • Whisper White Thick card stock (CS) cut to 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″, then scored in half at 4-1/4″
  • Bird Ballad Designer Series Paper (DSP) cut to 5-1/4″ x 4″

Stamped with the Bloom & Grow stamp set:

  • sentiment in Old Olive ink onto a scrap of Whisper White Thick CS

Cut using the Nested Labels Dies:

  • sentiment

Assembled the card:

  • burnished the fold in the card base with a Bone Folder
  • DSP layer glued onto the front of the care base
  • sentiment adhered onto the DSP layer using Stampin’ Dimensionals
  • a gold candle embellishment applied onto the die cut sentiment
  • That’s it! Easy peasy!
