any excuse to eat cake card cWatermelon Wonder is a great new In Color. This piece of DSP from the new Cherry On Top DSP Stack is Watermelon Wonder and Whisper White, just two of the seven colors in the stack. I love the little cake slices with candles and cherries on top.

For this card, I decided to keep the whole card to just the two colors in the DSP, using Watermelon Wonder and Whisper White card stocks, and Watermelon Wonder ink.

The Age Awareness stamp set, carrying over to the new catalog, has just the right sentiments for lots of different birthday wishes. This one seemed perfect for the cake paper.

The banners were made with the new Banner Triple punch. It has guides for 1″, 1-1/2″, and 2″ wide strips of paper, but actually you can put any width paper in the punch as long as you’re careful to center it.

My dear friend Betsy from St. Louis was visiting, and she spent some time in my stamping studio playing with Watercolor Paper and Aqua Painters. I believe she’s sold on them! It was great to have her here.
