hello honeycomb card b

While I had the Hello You Thinlits out to make the Bohemian Thanks card (you can see that post here) I decided to make another card using one of the other dies in the set, the hello die. Then I thumbed through the other die sets and decided to use the Hexagon Hive Thinlit as well.

For the color, I figured, hey, what could be better than Hello Honey? So that’s what I used for the card base. I cut the Hexagon Hive out of Vellum card stock for that translucent honeycomb look. Just the plain vellum on the plain card stock wasn’t very exciting, so I added some texture and interest with a stamp from the Butterfly Basics stamp set. It’s a relatively small stamp, so I stamped it randomly all over the front of the card base in Smoky Slate ink. By the way, this stamp set comes in wood mount, clear mount, and photopolymer, AND it comes in Spanish and French. And did you know that you can save 15% when you buy the bundle: stamp set and coordinating die set?

The sentiment was die cut from Mossy Meadow card stock. I used a few sequins just to add a little sump’m sump’m. Five sequins to be exact – I love odd numbers. The Frosted Sequins are in the Clearance Rack for just $2.99 right now. Get them while you still can!
