Lemon Zest Bundle Bag of Drops

I got to go on the 2016 Stampin’ Up! Incentive Trip, a Mediterranean Cruise. While touring Positano, Italy, famous for their lemons and limoncello, I bought a bag of lemon drops. Wow! They were the best I’ve ever had! They didn’t last long after I got home, so I did an internet search. I found them – you can order them through Amazon.com! They aren’t cheap, and they doesn’t have fast shipping, but oh my, are they worth it! When I decided to give up one of my precious bags of lemon drops for a birthday gift, I knew the Lemon Zest bundle (Lemon Zest stamp set & Lemon Builder Punch) would be perfect. I couldn’t remove the label without destroying the bag, so I opted to cover it. Let me know what you think!

Here’s what I made:

Here’s what I did:

Cut and scored with my Stampin’ Trimmer:

  •  Lemon Lime Twist card stock (CS) cut to 3″ x 6″, then scored in half at 3″

Stamped with the Lemon Zest stamp set:

  • 2 lemons in Daffodil Delight ink onto a scrap of Daffodil Delight CS, then immediately heat embossed them with clear embossing powder, to give them some texture
  • leaves in Lemon Lime Twist ink onto a scrap of Lemon Lime Twist CS
  • two sentiments – one of the front and one on the back – in Basic Black ink
  • NOTE: I used a Black Sharpie marker to add the dots at the ends of the lemons.

Cut using the Lemon Builder Punch:

  • lemons and leaves
  • stem from a scrap of Lemon Lime Twist CS, which I pressed onto the Lemon Lime Twist ink pad to darken it

Cut using the Envelope Punch Board:

  • rounded all four corners of the tag

Assembled the project:

  • burnished the fold in the tag with a Bone Folder
  • lemons and one leaf glued together, then adhered to the tag front using Stampin’ Dimensionals
  • remaining two leaves adhered to the lemons using Stampin’ Dimensionals
  • stem glued to tag front, sticking out from under the lemons
  • lined up the tag over the original one, and adhered it using Tear & Tape
  • Lemon Lime Twist clip added on top for the finishing touch

One Stamp at a Time Blog Hop header

This is my first time participating in the One Stamp at a Time (OSAT) Blog Hop. I’m thrilled to join this talented group of stampers. After you read my post, I hope you’ll click through to the next stop on the hop.

Here’s what I did:

Cut and scored with my Stampin’ Trimmer:

  • Night of Navy card stock (CS) cut to 3-7/8″ x 5-1/8″
  • Tutti-Frutti Designer Series Paper (DSP) cut to 3-3/4″ x 5″
  • Night of Navy CS cut to 2-3/4″ x 3-1/8″
  • Whisper White CS cut to 2-5/8″ x 3″
  • 2 Tutti-Frutti card bases – 3/8″ cut off one end, and scored 3/8″ from the other end
  • Whisper White CS cut to 4-1/8″ x 4-1/8″, then scored 1/4″ from each of the four sides
  • Tutti-Frutti DSP cut to 2″ x 4″
  • Whisper White CS cut to 1-3/4″ x 3-1/8″

Stamped with the Fruit Basket stamp set:

  • bowl in Garden Green ink onto a scrap of Lemon Lime Twist CS
  • 7 strawberries in Real Red and Lemon Lime Twist inks onto a scrap of Whisper White CS
  • card sentiment in Night of Navy ink onto the 2-5/8″ x 3″ Whisper White CS
  • tag sentiment in Lemon Lime Twist ink onto the 1-3/4″ x 3-1/8″ Whisper White CS
  • a strawberry in Real Red and Lemon Lime Twist inks onto the inside of a third card base
  • a strawberry in Real Red and Lemon Lime Twist inks onto the front of the envelope

Cut using the Itty Bitty Fruit Punch Pack:

  • 7 strawberries from the Whisper White CS scrap
  • 3 strawberries from each side of the 2 trimmed card bases, near the bottom

Cut with the Scalloped Tag Topper Punch:

  • one end of the 2″ x 4″ DSP, to create the tag

Die cut using the Eastern Medallion Thinlits:

  • a medallion from each side of the 2 trimmed card bases

Cut using Paper Snips:

  • bowl

Colored using a Stampin’ Write Marker:

  • darkened some of the strawberry tops in Lemon Lime Twist
  • added shadows to the bowl in Lemon Lime Twist

Assembled the card:

  • 6 strawberries glued onto the back of the bowl
  • bowl of strawberries and the one remaining strawberry adhered to the 2-5/8″ x 3″ Whisper White CS with Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals
  • 2-5/8″ x 3″ Whisper White CS glued onto the 2-3/4″ x 3-1/8″ Night of Navy CS
  • 2-3/4″ x 3-1/8″ Night of Navy CS glued onto the 3-3/4″ x 5″ DSP
  • 3-3/4″ x 5″ DSP DSP glued onto the 3-7/8″ x 5-1/8 Night of Navy CS
  • 3-7/8″ x 5-1/8 Night of Navy CS glued onto the front of the card base (this is the untrimmed card base with a strawberry stamped inside)

Assembled the tealight holder:

  • burnished all score lines of the 2 trimmed card bases with a Bone Folder
  • adhered the 3/8″ section of each card base to the inside of the other card base, to form the four sides of the holder
  • burnished all score lines of the 4-1/8″ x 4-1/8″ Whisper White CS with a Bone Folder
  • cut one score line at each corner to create tabs
  • glued each tab to the inside of the adjacent side to create a tray for the bottom of the holder
  • put the tray inside the holder and glue on all four sides – I found it easiest to drop the tray down into the holder and press it to the bottom, then flip it over and squeeze a little glue between the two pieces.
  • applied Tutti-Frutti Washi Tape around the top and bottom of the holder
  • NOTE: You can just have the four sides. You don’t have to have the bottom tray, but I think it adds stability and shape to the holder.

Assembled the tag:

  • 3/4″ x 3-1/8″ Whisper White CS glued to the blue side of the DSP tag
  • 3 self adhesive sequins applied to the tag
  • ran 5″ of Lemon Lime Twist 3/8″ Mini Striped Ribbon through the hole
  • tied a piece of Whisper White Solid Twine around the ribbon
  • attached tag to the tealight holder with a mini white clothes pin from the Sweet Soiree Embellishment Kit

Wrap It Up for the InKing Royalty Blog Hop

It’s time for the InKing Royalty December blog hop. This month we’re sharing how we wrap it up for the holidays, using our Stampin’ Up! products in gift wrapping. Since my husband and I spend Christmas at the homes of relatives, we have a lot of Christmas gifts to fit into the trunk of our car. I knew that any kind of bows would be crushed, so I decided to decorate the wrapped gifts with flat ornamentation. I’ve used a few different stamp sets and embellishments. I’m sharing a few of them with you today.

Merry Little Labels Treat Tube Blues

I love using blues for Christmas and Winter projects. For today’s Treat Tubes, I made tags in two lovely blues from the Stampin’ Up! repertoire: Bermuda Bay and Night of Navy. I was able to find jelly beans that matched really well: Blueberry and Berry Blue by Jelly Bellies. The Merry Little Labels Bundle (Merry Little Labels stamp set and Everyday Label Punch) from the 2017 Holiday Catalog made quick work of these little goodies. I set up a sort of assembly line for these, stamping lots of tags on full sheets of card stock, them punching them all out at once, etc. I made a few dozen of these.

Here’s what I made:

Let it snow tag treat tubs stampin up merry little labels by candy ford of stamp candy Let it snow tag treat tubs stampin up merry little labels by candy ford of stamp candy Let it snow tag treat tubs stampin up merry little labels by candy ford of stamp candy Let it snow tag treat tubs stampin up merry little labels by candy ford of stamp candy

Here’s what I did:

Stamped with the Merry Little Labels stamp set:

  • To From image in Night of Navy ink onto Whisper White Thick card stock (CS)
  • Let it Snow image in Night of Navy ink onto Bermuda Bay CS (I tried pressing down on the stamp with less pressure than usual, and got the sort of speckled appearance of the trees and deer, which I like.)

Cut using the Everyday Label Punch:

  • both tags

Cut using the 1/8″ Circle Punch:

  • a hole in the top of each tag

Assembled the treats:

  • put jelly beans in the Treat Tube, alternating colors, and put in the cork
  • ran Pool Party Solid Twine through both tags and tied them to the treat tube, around the cork just above the tube itself
