2018-2019 Annual Catalog Swatch Books and Product Shares

Swatch Books:

What are Swatch Books? Just one of the greatest reference tools you can have! I use mine all the time.

For each pack of Designer Series Paper (DSP) in the new catalog, you’ll receive a 3″ x 6″ book with a piece of each and every pattern in the pack. The books are super easy to flip through, so you can see all the paper designs front and back. And the books don’t take up a lot of space, so you can always have them with you.

You never truly know what the DSPs look like until you have them in your hand. Flip through each swatch book to see if you want to buy the whole pack!

All the coordinating colors for each DSP are listed on the back, which is very helpful:

  • when you need to know just exactly which blue is in that piece of DSP you’re using
  • when you’re looking for a DSP to use with a specific color. For example, say I’m in the mood to make a card using Lemon Lime Twist. I simply fan out the books to see which ones list Lemon Lime Twist on the back, which is easy since the colors are listed in alphabetical order. Then those are the books I flip through to choose a DSP for my card.

There are 20 DSPs in the new 2018-2019 Annual Catalog, so each set has 20 books containing regular and Specialty DSPs. $45 includes shipping.

Here are a couple photos of swatch books from past catalogs, just to give you an idea of what you will receive:

Paper Shares:

Want all the new Designer Series Papers (DSP) from the 2018-2019 Annual Catalog, but not a whole pack of each set? Purchase a Paper Share! You will receive 208 different pieces of paper – that’s 148 pieces of 6″ x 6″ DSP and 60 pieces of 6″ x 12″ DSP. $85 includes shipping!

Ribbon Shares:

There are 30 new ribbons and trims (really 35, since some packs have multiple colors) in the new 2018-2019 Annual Catalog, and I know you want them all, right? With a Ribbon Share, you will receive 39 yards of ribbon/trim (1 yard each of all, except 5 yards of metallic thread.) $35 includes shipping.

Want it all?

You will receive everything on this page – DSP Swatch Books, Cardstock Swatches, Paper Share, Embellishment Share, and Ribbon Share  – for $195 which includes shipping. That’s a $22 savings!

Okay. I’ve gotta have one. How do I get in line?

With the launch of this tool, we’re trying something different: testing a new reservation system. It acts like a true preorder: you reserve your spot and we guarantee shipment as soon as the product arrives in our warehouse. Demonstrators and customers will place reservations and receive their product at the same time. This system will allow us to get the product to market as soon as possible while avoiding backorders and efficiently managing inventory.

The global launch will feature two reservation windows. The remaining window is December 5-30, 2017. The tools will ship in the order in which the reservations are received, so order soon! This is the last chance you’ll have to order the Stamparatus until the 2018-2019 Annual Catalog goes live in June 2018. Unless you join my team, in which case you’ll be able to preorder from the new Annual Catalog in May!

For each reservation window, please note the following:

  • Limit is 1 tool per person per reservation window.
  • Customers may participate in both reservation windows.
  • In order to reserve your Stamparatus, you are required to provide your credit card information, so have it handy.
  • Credit cards will not be charged until the Stamparatus ships from our facility. When you close your order, be sure to verify that your credit card and shipping information is correct.

Getting Fussy for the Pals August Blog Hop

Welcome to the Pals Blog Hop for August.  This month we are showing off our favorite crafting tools – those Stampin’ Up! tools that we just can’t live without.  We hope you enjoy our projects.

You may just be starting the blog hop or may have come from Michelle Gleeson at StampinMojo, number 9 on the Pals Hop.  If you get off track at any time, the full lineup below will help you move along from blog to blog so you see all the projects.

It’s impossible for me to choose just one Stampin’ Up! tool as my favorite. I love them all. Stampin’ Up! always puts so much thought into everything they sell. But today I had to choose one, so I decided to focus on a tool that absolutely no paper crafter should be without: Paper Snips.

Paper Snips

These scissors actually do what others only say they do. They are very sharp all the way to the tippy tip. This allows you to fussy cut the most delicate of designs.

For this card, I used them to fussy cut the individual leaves, the bird, the flower, and the flower center. I used Crystal Effects to highlight the smallest fussy cut pieces.

The next stop is Tricia Chuba at ButterDish Designs, number 11 on the Pals Blog Hop!  Thanks for visiting; I hope to see you on next month’s Pals Hop!

More Silhouettes Gone Wild

silhouette go wild card b2

This card is similar to the one I posted yesterday. You can see that one here.

It uses the same colors, same DSP, and the same image stamp set. This time the card base is Thick Whisper White card stock, and the mats are Basic Black and Tip Top Taupe.

The DSP is bolder with hexagonal dots in shades of Tip Top Taupe and Basic Black. The stamped image from Serene Silhouettes is also a bit bolder.

silhouette go wild card a

I also used Stampin’ Dimensionals on today’s card. And I added a sentiment stamped on a separate piece of paper, then cut with the Washi Label Punch and matted. I used the Stamp-a-ma-jig to stamp the image a few times to make it darker.

I stamped the sentiment from the Happy Birthday, Everyone stamp set in Tip Top Taupe on Whisper White, then cut it with the new Washi Label punch. After I punched the sentiment once, with the words close to one corner, I punched it a second time to make it smaller in width and height. The Basic Black mat is cut with the same punch.

This is another card that is fitting for a female or a male.

Silhouettes Gone Wild

Silhouette card a2

The images in the Serene Silhouettes go perfectly with the Go Wild DSP Stack. There are only three colors in this DSP Stack (Basic Black, Tip Top Taupe, and Whisper White) but that’s enough.

This reminds me of something you might see on safari at dusk. The chevron design is reminiscent of an African print. And it’s the perfect subtle background for the black silhouette.

Serene Silhouettes stamp set

TIP: The black Memento ink absorbed into the DSP more so than on card stock. I used my Stamp-a-ma-jig to stamp it a few times in the exact same place, to make the ink darker. I stamped on a larger piece of paper, so there would be enough for the Stamp-a-ma-jig to rest on, then cut it down to size.

silhouette card 2

Some Basic Black and Whisper White matting on a Tip Top Taupe card base frame the image nicely. Three Basic Black Candy Dots and a small greeting from the And Many More stamp set stamped in black balance each other at opposite corners of the card.

And Many More stamp set

The colors make this card perfect for a man, and the delicate silhouette makes it great for a woman. I love versatile cards!
