Paper Craft Crew Card Sketch Challenge PCCCS107

I’ve only ever done one blog challenge before, and that was on my other blog. So I’m christening my new blog with this week’s sketch challenge from The Paper Craft Crew. Click on the sketch to see the challenge on their blog.

And here’s my card.

PCCCCS104-reduced-for-webI just love Blackberry Bliss, so I looked for a DSP that used it. The three patterned papers are from the Moonlight DSP Stack and they contain the colors Blackberry Bliss, Hello Honey, Basic Gray, and Whisper White, so those are the four colors I used on the card. The card base, candle holder, and Striped Scallop die cut are all Blackberry Bliss card stock. The candles and sentiment are stamped on Whisper White card stock with Blackberry Bliss, Hello Honey and Basic Gray ink pads. The candle and sentiment stamps are from the Cycle Celebration stamp set. The sentiment is matted on a piece of Hello Honey card stock. There’s a piece of Whisper White card stock attached inside the card for writing a note (maybe with the Blackberry Bliss Stampin’ Write Marker?) I colored a Very Vintage Designer Button with a Smoky Slate Blendabilities Marker, and tied it with a piece of White Baker’s Twine. I cut the candle holder with one of the Apothecary Accents Framelits. I fussy cut the candles with Paper Snips – which are amazing little scissors.

I’d just like to say how much I admire – and envy – people who are really good at fussy cutting. I think my eyes are getting too old or something. I just can’t seem to do it as well as I once could. But that doesn’t stop me from having fun trying!
