You are Every Lovely Word with Love & Affection

This sweet card was made by Caitlin Jones with the Affectionately Yours Specialty DSP, Love & Affection stamp set, copper embossing powder by Stampin' Up! #stampcandy

I love showing off my team members, the Candy Hearts! It’s a very talented group of stampers. Today I’m featuring a card made by Caitlin Jones. She used the Love & Affection stamp set, the Affectionately Yours Specialty Designer Series Paper (DSP,) and the Copper Stampin’ Emboss Powder to create this sweet card.   Here’s what she made: Here’s what she did: The card base is Crumb Cake card stock (CS) with a piece of Affectionately Yours Specialty DSP glued to the front. Then there’s a small piece of Night of Navy CS with a slightly smaller piece of Watermelon …

You’re So Vintage

At the beginning of each year, I start working on greeting cards for the rest of the year. I like to have a supply of birthday and anniversary cards on hand. Today I’m sharing a card that’s perfect for someone of a “certain age.”   Here’s what I made:   Here’s what I did: On a piece of Shimmery White card stock (CS) I stamped the swirl from the Tie Dyed stamp set in Crushed Curry, Tangerine Tango, Emerald Envy, and Pacific Point – cleaning the stamp between each color. I tried to line up the stamp each time, then spin it …

Hugs & Kisses

I’ve had so much fun playing with the new love themed products in the Occasions Catalog! It’s always fun making a card for someone you love. Today I’m sharing a Valentine I designed for one of my classes.   Here’s what I made:   Here’s what I did: The card base is Real Red card stock (CS) – I used the edge die from the Love Notes Framelits to cut the front edge of the card base. I glued a piece of Whisper White CS to the inside, which helps the heart edge show up better. I glued a …

Happy New Year Card/Box

Today I’m sharing a project that I presented at a stamping event in November, and that my downline requested we make at our next meeting. It’s a Sliding Treat Box with a Twist Pop-Up Panel Card attached. Here’s what I made:   2017 The card opens to show fireworks and a panel with 2017, and the box slides open to reveal the goodies inside.     I made the one for my presentation (above) to fit a package of Reese Cups. To simplify things, I made the one for our team meeting (below) the size of a standard …

The top ten winners will get to be part of an international blog hop, so please vote for my project here. Our theme for this highlight is encouragement. We could all use a kind word now and then to build us up, right?   Here’s what I made:     Here’s how I did it: The card base is Basic Black card stock, with a piece of Very Vanilla CS glued to the inside for a …

ICS Blog Hop: Hang Your Stocking Bundle

This month the Inspire, Create, & Share Blog Hop is all about white-on-white projects. I love tone-on-tone projects, and white-on-white is my favorite. I also enjoy using different products together, and I used several to create today’s card.   Here’s what I made: My card has three stockings hanging from a mantle covered in pine boughs and pinecones. The sentiment is subtle: each stocking has the word Merry.   While the details are visible in person, it’s hard to make them show up in a photo. Here’s a darkened photo to help.   Here’s how I did it: The …

You’re So Sweet

Recently I’ve been sharing projects that are great for small gifts – perfect for people you want to give just a little something to.  The projects are inexpensive items dressed up with papercrafting products. This one is a can of honey roasted cashews. Or you could eat the cashews and use the empty container for another small gift – cookies maybe?   Here’s what I made:   Here’s how I did it: The can came with a black lid, which prompted my choice of colors. I cut a piece of Pop of Pink Designer Series paper (white with black dots) …

Teeny Tiny Ferrero Rocher Box

Recently I had the honor of presenting at an event for Stampin’ Up! Demonstrators. Today I’m sharing one of the small gift ideas I showed. (I didn’t photograph the items until after the event, so some of them are a bit worn looking. Lots of people handled and looked at them.) Here’s what I made: It’s just a tiny blue box (1-1/2″ x 1-1/2″ x 1-1/2″) with brown and gold on all sides.   When you lift the top off, the sides fall away to expose one delicious Ferrero Rocher candy. It’s an elegant way to dress up a …
