Welcome to the October Pals Blog Hop where we are celebrating an early Halloween and Harvest season. This month we are sharing Halloween and fall projects using our wonderful Stampin’ Up! supplies.
You may just be starting the blog hop or may have come from #32 Rae Harper-Burnet at WildWestPaperArts.com on the Pals Hop. If you get off track at any time, the full lineup below will help you move along from blog to blog so you see all of the amazing creations.
Wouldn’t you just love to receive some little treats in this adorable treat box?
The candy corn paper is one of my favorites in the Motley Monsters DSP (135819.) I cut the box using the Curvy Keepsakes Box Thinlits Die (135853) – I just can’t stop making these awesome boxes! The shape lends itself to sooooo many projects.
Using the And Many More stamp set (134276) I stamped Happy Halloween on matching Tangerine Tango cardstock (111349) and punched it out with the Ticket Duo Builder punch (126883.)
But the real trick here is the hanging tag. I punched out Whisper White (100730,) Crushed Curry (131199,) and Tangerine Tango (111349) card stock with the Tree punch (135859.) I used my Paper Snips (103579) to cut the top 1/3 off the Crushed curry tree and the top 2/3 off the Tangerine Tango tree. I layered the three together, then used my Paper Snips to cut off the tree trunk. I used the Project Life Corner punch (135246) on the corners, then finished them off with my Paper Snips. I punched the hole with the 1/8″ Circle punch (134365) and attached it to the box with three colors of Baker’s Twine (Basic Black 134576, Tangerine Tango 134578, Crushed Curry 134586) braided together.
I hope you enjoy making this treat box as much as I did!

I love paper. I love candy corn. Turn it into a cute box? Perfect!
I agree! Well, actually I don’t like to eat candy corn, but I love to use it this time of year as decor, and to give as gifts to the folks who do like it.
Hi Candy! Love the box!
Thanks, Amanda! I love the leaf card you did on today’s Blog Hop!
Candy, this is go cute. My favorite part is the braided twine. I would never have thought to put them together. You have taught me a new concept. Thank you. Have fun this weekend.
Thanks, Gigi! I wanted something a little thicker than one piece of twine, so I decided to braid them.
I love this box and the cute tag!
Thanks for the tip on the candy corn Candy. I also like the twine you used – where did you find that?
It’s all from Stampin’ Up, of course! Click on the “Inspire Create Share” catalog cover at the top right of this blog to shop. I’ve listed the product numbers in the description above. Please let me know if you have questions. Thanks for stopping by!
Adorable and I love that sweet candy corn tag!
Thank you, Linda, ye winner of all things on WCMD!
I love that your name, blog and project are all CANDY! LOL And what a cute curvy box! I have been resisting buying it but I think it will be on my next order. Thanks, Pal!!
Thanks, Debbie! Yes, my name comes up a lot this time of year! I highly recommend the Curvy Keepsake Box Thinlits Dies. I use it A LOT.
Very cute. I’ve made the candy corn by cutting three circles and layering and then cutting like a pie and corner rounding the corners. Six at once!
Brilliant! I’ll have to try that!
Such an adorable box! And using the tree punch to make a candy corn tag–love it!
Awesome tag to add to that cute little box! Fun projects!!
This partricular DSP as a curvy box…how great is that…sadly I won’t get this paper until Friday and don’t know if I will have time to make one of these before we go to a BBQ on Saturday – have a lot of cooking to do…fabulous!!!
It just takes a few minutes to make the box. The candy corn tag took a little more time, but that’s because I was trying to come up with the concept. Now that you know how to make it, it should just take 5 minutes or so.add a few more minutes if you braid the twine together. Be sure to put in your goodies before you tie on the tag. Have fun at your BBQ!
Awesome project! Love that Candy Corn tag!!
