Welcome to the November Pals Blog Hop, we are thankful you stopped by. This month we are showcasing projects that show our thanks, including both thank you and Thanksgiving themed projects.
You may just be starting the blog hop or may have come from 33. Nancy Gleason at My Stampin Space on the Pals Hop. If you get off track at any time, the full lineup below will help you move along from blog to blog so you see all of the amazing projects.
Even though it isn’t even Thanksgiving yet, I’m in a Christmas mood. I’ve been listening to the Christmas music channel – Perry Como, Andy Williams, Bing Crosby, et al are my favorites – and thinking about my gift list. So for this project I decided to combine the Thanks theme of the blog hop with the Christmas theme in my head.
We all send thank you notes for our Christmas gifts, right? At least, we should. We all know how much time, effort and expense can go into gift giving, and we’d all like to know the recipients appreciate our pains. So here’s a little something to let folks know just how much you appreciate their thoughtfulness and generosity.
Tap Tap Tap – I think I could come up for a use for this typewriter on almost every card I make. I love the versatility of it. And the fact that it’s so darned cute. Here I’m using it to show my thanks.
Pop! – I love me some Stampin’ Dimensionals! They add just that little something extra. I’ve used them here to raise the entire circle panel off the card.

Here’s a close up of the typewriter. I like the shininess of the silver embossing powder. I added a little more depth and shading with my Light Smoky Slate Blendabilities Marker. For the white paper, I snipped the area away with my Paper Snips – the most fantastic little detail scissors I’ve ever found – and adhered a piece of Whisper White card stock behind it. I used my Stamp-a-ma-jig to get the thank you stamp placement just right. Of course, if (unlike me) you think a few steps ahead, you can stamp the sentiment, then line it up when you adhere it to the back.

I feel I should explain that the typewriter shows up much better in person. I’m afraid it blends into the Smoky Slate background a bit too much in the photos.
Versatility – you could easily change the colors to use this thank you card any time of year.
I can’t wait to see what the other Pals have in store! The next stop is 2. Angie Valle-Peters at Paperluxuries on the Pals Blog Hop! Thanks for visiting and I hope to see you next month.

The embossed typewriter is fabulous! Such a wonderful thank you card!
Thanks so much, Brian, Natalie, Beth, Windy, Dawn & Kerry! I really like using the Blendabilities Markers with heat embossing. I think I’ll be doing a lot more of that.
Cute idea Candy! And… you’re right. We should always send those “Thank You” notes.
