Today I’m sharing another card I made using the Blow Out the Candles stamp set. I also used the coordinating Candles & Confetti Framelits Dies on this one. (You can buy them bundled together to save 10%!) I didn’t really pay much attention to this set at first, but now that I’ve been playing with it, I realize how much fun it is. I mean, look at all those adorable birthday candles on this card. Cute!
Here’s what I made:
Here’s what I did:
Cut and scored with my Stampin’ Trimmer:
- Mint Macaron card stock (CS) cut to 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″, then scored in half at 4-1/4″
- Petal Pink CS cut to 5-1/4″ x 4″
- Whisper White CS cut to 5-1/4″ x 1/2″
- Optional: Whisper White CS cut to 5-1/4″ x 4″
Stamped with the Blow Out the Candles stamp set:
- sentiment in Mint Macaron ink onto the Whisper White CS strip
- candles in Flirty Flamingo, Petal Pink, and Mint Macaron inks onto a scrap of Whisper White CS
Die cut using the Candles & Confetti Framelits:
- candles
- confetti from each end of the Petal Pink CS layer
Assembled the card:
- burnished the fold in the card base with a Bone Folder
- candles glued onto the Petal Pink CS layer
- sentiment strip glued over the candles
- Petal Pink CS layer glued onto the front of the card base
- 5 sequins applied to the card front
- Optional: Whisper White CS glued onto the inside of the card base
