This year’s Annual Catalog includes a wonderful stamp set called Crafting Forever, which I used for today’s card. The sentiment on the card expresses something I believe we all should do: Do something creative every day. It doesn’t have to be anything big. Maybe it’s just a doodle, or a sculpture in your mashed potatoes. You don’t have to be an “artist.” But creating something every day helps keeps our minds alive. And it helps keep us happy. 

Here’s what I made:

Cut and scored with my Stampin’ Trimmer:

• Cajun Craze card stock (CS) cut to 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″, then scored in half at 4-1/4″
• Soft Sky card stock (CS) cut to 4″ x 2″
• Whisper White CS approx. 4″ x 2.5″ (to cut the oval)
• Whisper White CS cut to 4″ x 5-1/4″ for the inside

Stamped with the Crafting Forever stamp set:

• sentiment in Old Olive ink onto the Soft Sky CS layer
  
• jar of brushes in Basic Black ink onto the smaller piece of Whisper White CS

Colored using Stampin’ Write Markers and Blender Pens:

• jar of brushes in Pacific Point, Basic Gray, Pumpkin Pie, Daffodil Delight, Old Olive, and Peekaboo Peach

Die Cut using the Layering Oval Framelit Dies:

Embossed using the Hexagons Dynamic Embossing Folder:

• front half of the card base

Assembled the card:

• sentiment piece glued onto the front of the card base
• oval with image glued onto the front of the card base
• a few sequins from the Gold Mini Sequin Trim glued to the card front
• Whisper White CS glued to the inside of the card base
