Stampin’ Up! has a new exciting promotion this month. When you place an order of $250 (it can be an individual order, or you can be the host of a party/workshop) you will receive a pack of the new exclusive Dashing Along Designer Series Paper. There are more details about this promotion at the bottom of this post. I paired this DSP with the Merry Christmas Thinlits Dies to create a CAS (Clean & Simple) Happy Holidays card.

Here’s what I made:

Here’s what I did:

Cut and scored with my Stampin’ Trimmer:

• Garden Green card stock (CS) cut to 4-1/4″ x 11″, then scored in half at 5-1/2″
• Dashing Along Designer Series Paper (DSP) cut to 4″ x 5-1/4″ (newsprint)
• Garden Green CS cut to 3-1/2″ x 4-3/4″
• Whisper White CS cut to 3-1/4″ x 4-1/2″
• DSP cut to 3″ x 4-1/4″ (stars)
• Whisper White CS cut to 4″ x 5-1/4″ for the inside of the card base

Die cut using the Merry Christmas Thinlits:

• “Happy” and “Holidays” from Garden Green CS and from Whisper White Thick CS

Assembled the card:

• burnished the fold in the card base with a Bone Folder
• smaller DSP layer glued onto the small Whisper White CS layer
• small Whisper White CS layer glued onto the Garden Green CS layer
• Garden Green CS layer glued onto the larger DSP layer
• larger DSP layer glued onto the front of the card base
• Whisper White words glued on top of Garden Green words, slightly offset
• CS words glued onto the front of the card layers
• 4″ x 5-1/4″ Whisper White CS glued onto the inside of the card base
