Sympathy cards are always difficult to make, no matter the loss. A friend recently lost her dear cat. This one is for her.
I wanted the cat on this card to look cheerful. This little guy’s head and body are separate stamps, which were a cinch to line up using the Stamp-a-ma-jig. I used Stampin’ Write Markers to color his Wild Wasabi eyes, Pink Pirouette ears, and Smoky Slate snout. His rhinestone pendant gives him a little splash of fancy.
I punched the heart from Pink Pirouette card stock using a punch from the Itty Bitty Accents Punch Pack, then covered it in Crystal Effects to make it puffy and shiny.
I felt the subject matter and sentiment called for simplicity, so I left a lot of white space.
