Today’s project is a note card made using the Country Club Suite. (Don’t worry, I’m almost done with the Country Club projects I made for OnStage.) It’s a note card with a golf ball on a tee in the grass. While you could certainly give it to a golfer, you could also give it to any great guy who likes puns.

Here’s what I did:

Cut and scored with my paper trimmer:

  • Garden Green card stock (CS) layer cut to 3-1/4″ x 4-3/4″
  • Poppy Parade CS layer cut to 3″ x 4-1/2″
  • Country Club Designer Series Paper (DSP) layer cut to 3-1/4″ x 1-1/2″
  • Whisper White CS layer cut to 2-1/2″ x 2-1/4″

Stamped with the Clubhouse stamp set:

  • sentiment in Garden Green ink twice onto a scrap of Whisper White Thick CS

Cut using the Golf Club Dies:

  • large golf ball from a scrap of Whisper White Thick CS
  • 5 grass clumps from a scrap of Garden Green CS
  • golf tee from a scrap of Crushed Curry CS
  • one sentiment using the crest shape die
  • “greatest guy” portion of the other sentiment using the banner die

Heat embossed the golf ball:

  • covered the ball in Versamark ink, covered it in clear embossing powder, then heat embossed it
  • This makes the ball shiny like a brand new golf ball!

Embossed using the Absolutely Argyle 3d embossing folder:

  • Poppy Parade CS layer

Assembled the card:

  • burnished the fold in the note card base with a Bone Folder
  • Poppy Parade CS layer glued onto the Garden Green CS layer
  • DSP layer glued onto the Poppy Parade CS layer
  • Whisper White CS layer glued over the DSP layer
  • Garden Green twine tied around the layers and tied in a knot on the front
  • 2 grass clumps glued onto the Whisper White CS layer
  • ball and tee adhered onto the Whisper White CS layer using Stampin’ Dimensionals
  • remaining 3 grass clumps adhered onto the Whisper White CS layer using Stampin’ Dimensionals
  • crest shaped sentiment glued onto the Poppy Parade CS layer
  • banner shaped sentiment adhered over the crest shape using Stampin’ Dimensionals
