Spring has sprung! I love the weather we’ve been having in Atlanta. Except for just a little bit of rain, it’s been beautiful with birds chirping, perfect room temperature, open windows. This weather makes me want to 1) nap outdoors, and 2) make Springtime cards.
Today’s card is a twist on an interlocking gate fold card. Usually you would use nesting circles for this, but I decided to try it with the Wonderful Wreath Framelits Dies.

An alternate way to make this card would be to put the sentiment on a circle of card stock that is larger than the wreath center but smaller than the wreath’s outer edges. The two sides wouldn’t interlock, but you would have a nice circle instead of the odd shape of the wreath center on the left side. You would simply close the circle side first, then close the wreath side so the wreath covers the circle and the sentiment shows through the center.
I stamped the images from the Circle of Spring stamp set and colored them in with Stampin’ Write Markers.
Here the card is beginning to open and the wreath center is separating from the wreath.

Here is the side of the card with the wreath…
… and here is the side with the wreath center. You can put the wreath on the left and the center on the right if you want. It’s doesn’t really matter.
Here it is completely open, ready for a handwritten note.
