Today’s project is a congratulations card I made using the Here’s a Card stamp set, Petal Labels Dies, and Shimmer Detailed Laser-Cut Specialty Paper. I embellished it with Very Vanilla Scalloped Lace Trim and Gold Faceted Gems.
Here’s what I made:
Here’s what I did:
Cut and scored with my paper trimmer:
- Mossy Meadow card stock (CS) cut to 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″, then scored in half at 4-1/4″
- Shimmer Detailed Laser Cut Specialty Paper cut to 5″ x 3-1/2″
- Whisper White CS cut to 5″ x 3-3/4″ for the inside of the card base
Stamped with the Here’s A Card stamp set:
- sentiment in Mossy Meadow ink onto a scrap of Whisper White CS
Cut using the Petal Labels Dies:
- decorative oval from a scrap of Flirty Flamingo CS
- sentiment using the plain oval die
Assembled the card:
- burnished the fold in the card base with a Bone Folder
- Very Vanilla Scalloped Lace Trim wrapped around the front of the card base, with the ends meeting in the middle of the front, and adhered using Tear & Tape
- specialty paper layer glued onto the front of the card base
- sentiment glued onto the Flirty Flamingo die cut
- Flirty Flamingo die cut glued onto the front of the card base
- 4 Gold Faceted Gems applied onto the 4 corners of the specialty paper layer (I like to use my Paper Piercing Tool to lift and place the gems. The Take Your Pick tool is also great for this.)
