Moroccan anniversary card close up

The Moroccan suite of products on pages 66-67 of the 2016-2017 Annual catalog is gorgeous! It includes a stamp set, Designer Series Paper, and Washi Tape. I was sold as soon as I saw the colors and designs of the DSP, especially the piece I used on today’s card. My husband and I would certainly love to receive an anniversary card like this. 25 years on October 12!

Here’s how I did it:

I got the idea to make a square card from the DSP itself.  I cut the design out of the paper and built the card around it. I glued it onto a piece of Cajun Craze card stock 1/4″ larger in both directions. I adhered it to the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

The next layer down is another piece of the DSP. I wanted it to be big enough to see the design, so I cut it 1/2″ larger in each direction than the layer above. I glued it to the Dapper Denim card base, which is 5-1/2″ x 11″, scored at 5-1/2″.

The sentiment is from the Banners for You Bundle, which includes the Banners for You stamp set and the Bunch of Banners Framelits. Onto a piece of Very Vanilla card stock I stamped the banner in Dapper Denim and the words in Emerald Envy. Then I cut it with the coordinating die. I adhered it to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Since the card is 5-1/2″ square, I needed to make an envelope for it. I turned to my trusty Envelope Punch Board. I used a piece of Emerald Envy paper from the 2016-2018 In Color Envelope Paper, and the instructions on the Punch Board, to create the right size envelope.
