Today I’m sharing one of the Make & Takes from the April Candy Hearts team meeting. We used the new Ornate Garden Suite to make 3 lovely cards. Today’s card features Terracotta Tile and Old Olive. I used the Ornate Style and Ornate Thanks bundles with the Ornate Garden Specialty Designer Series Paper.

Here’s what I made:

Here’s what I did:
Cut and scored with my paper trimmer:
- Terracotta Tile card stock (CS) cut to 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″, then scored in half at 4-1/4″
- Ornate Garden Specialty Designer Series Paper (DSP) layer cut to 5-1/4″ x 4″
- DSP cut to 1/2″ x 4″
- Whisper White CS layer cut to 3-5/8″ x 2-1/4″
- Whisper White CS cut to 5-1/4″ x 4″ for the inside of the card base
Stamped with the Ornate Thanks stamp set:
- sentiment in Old Olive ink onto the 3-5/8″ x 2-1/4″ Whisper White CS layer
Stamped with the Ornate Style stamp set:
- corner flourish in Terracotta Tile ink (twice) onto the 3-5/8″ x 2-1/4″ Whisper White CS layer
Cut using the Ornate Layers Dies:
- a scrap of Old Olive CS using the second largest rectangle die
Cut using the Ornate Borders Dies:
- 6 flowers (2 large, 2 medium, and 2 small) from a scrap of Terracotta Tile CS
Assembled the card:
- burnished the fold in the card base with a Bone Folder
- DSP layer glued onto the front of the card base
- Whisper White CS layer glued onto the Old Olive CS die cut layer
- three Terracotta Tile flowers glued onto two of the corners of the Whisper White/Old Olive layer
- Old Olive CS die cut layer adhered onto the DSP layer using Stampin’ Dimensionals
- DSP strip glued onto the Whisper White CS for the inside of the card
- Whisper White CS glued onto the inside of the card base
