PPA258 trellis thanks card b

This week’s Pals Paper Arts challenge is to use these three colors…

PPA 258

…and here’s my card.

I love cutting and piecing paper, and I have as far back as I can remember. I had so much fun creating the trellis, vine, and grass, I almost forgot to include a stamped image.

The card base is the new Thick Whisper White card stock. The trellis and sign are cut from the regular Whisper White card stock. The sign image, from the new Stake Your Claim stamp set, is stamped in Night of Navy, and it’s cut with the Handpicked Framelits Dies. I used my Stampin’ Trimmer to cut 1/8″ strips for the trellis. I cut the two cross pieces with the Ovals Collection Framelits Dies.

The card front is Watermelon Wonder card stock that I ran through my Big Shot with the Brick Wall TIEF.

I cut the Cucumber Crush vines with the Bird Builder Punch, and the neatly mown grass is a 1/2″ strip of card stock that I snip-snip-snipped with my Paper Snips.

I cut the Night of Navy flowers with the Petite Petals Punch. The flower centers are the new White Perfect Accents. Some flowers are glued on, and some are attached with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

As an afterthought, I used a Sponge Dauber (item #133773) to add a little Tip Tip Taupe to the edges of the bricks, to the trellis, and to the sign.
