HAPPY LABOR DAY!!!
And now back to today’s regularly scheduled card…
While a mouse might not be my ideal gift, it certainly would be for a cat, like this cute little feline made with the Foxy Friends Bundle. Anyway, it’s the thought that counts, both in the gift giving and in the thank you.
Here’s how I did it:
I used the Fox Builder Punch to cut the pieces of the cat from Smoky Slate, Whisper White, and Blushing Bride card stock. From the Foxy Friends stamp set, I stamped the face in Memento Black ink onto the head, and I stamped the legs in Smoky Slate ink onto the body. I glued on the nose, ears, and tail tip, then used a Sponge Dauber to apply Smoky Slate ink around all the edges.
I used my Paper Snips to cut the banner from a piece of A Little Foxy Designer Series Paper.
On a 5-1/4″ x 4″ piece of Whisper White card stock, I drew the “ground” with the brush tip of a Smoky Slate Stampin’ Write Marker. I stamped the mouse from the Love You Lots stamp set, and the first part of the sentiment from the Thankful Thoughts stamp, set in Memento Black ink. On both of these stamps, I only inked up the part of the stamp I needed. I glued on the banner and the cat pieces (tail, then body, then head.) I glued this whole thing onto a Pool Party card base.
On another 5-1/4″ x 4″ piece of Whisper White card stock, I stamped the second part of the message in Memento Black ink, then glued it to the inside of the card base.
