Debbie Catlett brought a bunch of great cards for Show & Tell to our May Candy Hearts gathering. I’ll be sharing them with you over the next several days (assuming I can get the all photos to upload over the hotel’s Internet connection.) Here is one I was able to upload:

Debbie catlett card 9a

I love the way she arranged the flowers and sentiment on this card. There are lots of things on the card, but there’s still plenty of white space to keep it from looking crowded. I think the sentiment looks like a little flag sticking up from a flower bed.

Since I forgot to make notes on Debbie’s cards, and the colors sometimes look different on a computer screen, I’ll have to guess at some of the colors Debbie used. Of course, you can substitute them with any colors you like.

The card base is Old Olive card stock. The card front is Whisper White card stock.

She used the Grateful Bunch stamp set and Blossom Bunch Punch (available as a bundle to save 15% only until May 31!) She stamped the Old Olive eaves directly onto the card front. She stamped the flowers in black on a separate piece of Whisper White card stock then colored them in with Stampin’ Write markers (Hello Honey & Tangelo Twist?) She stamped the sentiment in Old Olive.

She cut out the flowers with the punch, and cut the sentiment with a die from the Project Life Cards & Labels Framelits. She used the same die to cut a piece of Old Olive card stock, then cut it in half horizontally to back the sentiment.

She attached some of the flowers with glue. She attached the sentiment and other flowers with Stampin’ Dimensionals. She wrapped some Linen Thread around the card front, then attached it to the card base.

Here’s what (I think) she used:
