Make a Wish

Continuing with the #imbringingbirthdaysback theme, today I’m sharing another birthday card made with the It’s My Party Designer Series Paper, and the Party Wishes stamp set.

The colors were easy to pick out – I just used some of the colors that were already in the DSP: Whisper White, Melon Mambo, Crushed Curry, and Mint Macaron.

For the sentiment, I stamped it in Melon Mambo onto Whisper White card stock and cut it with the 1-1/2″ Circle Punch. I used the 1-3/4″ Scalloped Circle Punch to cut a piece of Crushed Curry card stock. I used the 2″ Circle Punch to cut a piece of Mint Macaron card stock. I stacked these three circles together, gluing the bottom two pieces and adhering the top piece with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

The next layer down (the horizontal strip) is a piece of the DSP matted with Mint Macaron card stock.

Under that is a piece of the DSP glued to a piece of Mint Macaron card stock, then glued to the Melon Mambo card base.

For the balloon, I cut a piece of Melon Mambo card stock with the Balloon Bouquet Punch and attached a piece of Crushed Curry Baker’s Twine to the back. I adhered the balloon with Stampin’ Dimensionals, then used a teeny tiny bit of glue to adhere the twine to the card front. Let the glue dry completely before handling it, so the twine will stay in place.

Here’s what I used:
