COVID-19 has caused quite the ruckus in the world. I’m sure we’re all missing some of the same things: eating out, hugging people, stamping with friends, having enough toilet paper,… This is the perfect time to reach out with a handmade card. Today I’m sharing some cards I made for a masculine card swap with my Candy Hearts team. I used sentiments from the COVID-19 Product Giveback that I printed onto Whisper White card stock, using the “Heavyweight Paper” setting. This setting prints a little bit more slowly than usual, but the results are worth it. I also used Bird Ballad Designer Series Paper, which will be retiring very soon, and corners from the new Antiqued Corners & Slides, in the 2020-2021 Annual Catalog.

Printed sentiments

• from the COVID19 giveback pdf onto Whisper White card stock (CS)

Cut and scored with my paper trimmer:

• Basic Black card stock (CS) cut to 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″, then scored in half at 4-1/4″
• Bird Ballad Designer Series Paper (DSP) layer cut to 5-3/8″ x 3″
• Whisper White CS layer cut to fit the sentiment (varied sizes)
• Whisper White CS cut to 5-1/4″ x 4″ for the inside of the card base

Assembled the card:

• burnished the fold in the card base with a Bone Folder
• DSP layer glued onto the front of the the card base
• sentiment glued onto the DSP layer and card base
• 2 corners adhered onto the card base with Mini Glue Dots
• Whisper White CS glued onto the inside of the card base
