Here’s what I made:
Here’s what I did:
Cut and scored with my paper trimmer:
- Early Espresso card stock (CS) cut to 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″, then scored in half at 4-1/4″
- He’s the Man Designer Series Paper (DSP) layer cut to 5-1/4″ x 4″
- Basic White CS cut to 5-1/4″ x 4″ for the inside of the card base
Stamped with the Adventurous Journey stamp set:
- sentiment in Early Espresso ink onto the die cut from the DSP pack
- kayak in Tuxedo Black Memento ink onto a scrap of Basic White Thick CS
Colored using Stampin’ Blends Markers:
- stamped image in Soft Succulent, Soft Suede, Smoky Slate, Crumb Cake, Pumpkin Pie, and Medium (skin tone)
Fussy Cut using Paper Snips:
- stamped image
Layers:
- roughed up the edges of the DSP layer using my fingers and fingernails
- sponged the edges of the DSP layer and the sentiment layer in Early Espresso ink
Assembled the card:
- burnished the fold in the card base with a Bone Folder
- DSP layer glued onto the front of the card base
- kayak glued onto the sentiment layer
- sentiment layer adhered onto the DSP layer using large pieces cut from a Foam Adhesive Sheet
- Basic White CS glued onto the inside of the card base

Thanks for stopping by today, and Sweet Stamping!
I’m sure your nephew was thrilled with this fun birthday card. Enjoy your day!
I love this! Somehow I have overlooked this set. You have made a great card and I know several friends who would love this. Thank you for the inspiration.
I love the color combo of your card! You did a great job and convinced me to order this set!
So cute Candy! I love how beautifully you colored your kayaker! Fabulous card for sure!
Ooooh! I love this, Candy! You’ve created such a rustic, weathered look that’s perfect with these images and these papers. Brilliant, my friend!
Fantastic card! Perfect summer fun.
Oh the days when I could canoe. Yes I know it’s a kayak, but it still brings memories. And that’s a great thing to do with cards. Love it
Love your card! I’ve never gone kayaking, but I hear it great fun. Love all the details and perfect grunge you’ve added. So creative.
Great card. Very rustic and manly! I love it.
This DSP turned out to be a sleeper kind of DSP for me. I love what you did with it, and the torn paper really adds to the kayak, almost like rapids. Great card!
A superb combination of products for a perfect masculine card.
