The Happy Ornament wood mount stamp is retiring soon, so get it while you can! I used it to create this card with a palette of cool colors. This is a really quick card to make. There’s only one stamp and the rest is gluing together some layers.

Here’s what I made:

Here’s how I did it:
The card base is Island Indigo card stock. There is a piece of Whisper White CS glued to the inside for a handwritten note. On the front is a layer of Mint Macaron Designer Series Paper from the 2015-2017 In Color Designer Series Paper Stack, then a layer of Island Indigo CS.
I inked the stamp with a Mint Macaron ink pad, then used a Sponge Dauber to color in certain areas with Island Indigo ink. I stamped the image on a piece of Whisper White CS, then glued it to the card front.

Dec 13, 2016 | Blog Hop, Cards, Christmas, Color Palette, Gallery, Holiday, Retiring Products |

Welcome to InKing Royalty’s December Blog Hop! While Stampin’ Up! demonstrators are actively ordering from the 2017 Occasions Catalog and earning products from the 2017 Sale-a-Bration brochure, we are also getting ready for the upcoming holidays. We are excited to share some fun winter-themed projects with you! Today’s Winter Wishes Blog Hop is filled with inspiring projects that feature each artist’s take on Winter. After you read my post, I hope you’ll hop over to the next person on the list at the base of this post.
Here’s what I made:
I decided to go simple and pretty for today’s project. The Sweet Sugarplum, Soft Sky, and white color palette is soft and wintery. And I love this sentiment from the Suite Seasons stamp set.

Here’s how I did it:
The card base is Sweet Sugarplum card stock. The next layer up is Soft Sky card stock. On top of that is a piece of Fancy Frost Specialty Designer Series Paper.
I heat embossed the sentiment in white onto Sweet Sugarplum card stock, then I cut it out with a die from the Layering Ovals Framelits. I glued that onto the card front.
Finally I glued on some Soft Sky and Sweet Sugarplum sequins from the Fancy Frost Sequins.
Here are the Hop Stops:

May 17, 2016 | Cards, Events, New Products, Retiring Products |

At the May Candy Hearts gathering, one of the Make & Takes was one card in each of the five new In-Colors. I only made one example card, so I’m sharing the cards made by my team member, Debbie Catlett, from Chattanooga, TN.
The card bases are Thick Whisper White card stock. The sentiments are from the Rose Wonder stamp set and are stamped in Black Memento ink.

Sweet Sugarplum:

I’m sorry I didn’t get anything posted yesterday. We flew all Saturday night, and I cannot sleep on a plane. We got to the hotel in time for Sunday lunch. I had the Sunday roast lamb with all the trimmings – When it came to the table it looked like enough food for several people, but I was hungry and almost finished it off. Well, then I was so full, and tired, that I had to have a nap.
At dinner I ordered something much lighter, but they got my order wrong, yada yada yada, so I ended up with another Sunday roast meal (pork this time.) I was so full and tired after that, I couldn’t even stay awake to post. Since we’re 5 hours ahead here, I probably could have worked on it the next morning, but I ended up sleeping until 4:30 in the afternoon! That’s what long red-eye flights do to me.
I do have Internet access in the hotel room, but I’m having trouble getting some photos to upload. For example, I wanted to share 5 photos with you today, but only 4 of them would upload. Sorry you didn’t get to see the Dapper Denim card.
Here’s what we used for today’s 5 cards:

Apr 27, 2016 | Boxes, Retiring Products, Swaps |

Recently I attended Stampin’ Up’s OnStage Live event in Salt Lake City. I participated in a couple of organized swaps. The first one was a Dinner & Swap organized by Monika Davis at Red Rock Brewing Co. Here’s what I made. (These photos were taken in my hotel room on the bed.)

I decorated the boxes beforehand, but I left them flat and waited until I got to SLC to assemble and fill them. I was afraid they would get damaged on the trip there if I assembled them before packing them.

Of course, I did have to put one together so see how many candies I should put in each one, but I flattened it again for travel.

For each Tiny Treat Box, I cut six 1-3/4″ squares of Bohemian Designer Series Paper. I punched a half circle out of the top of one piece with the 3/4″ Circle Punch to accommodate the round finger notch in the front panel of the box. I glued the pieces onto the boxes.
I stamped the sentiment from the Apple of My Eye stamp set in Bermuda Bay ink onto Very Vanilla card stock, then cut it with the 1-3/4″ Circle Punch. I glued that onto a piece of Island Indigo card stock I cut with the 2″ Circle Punch, then I glued the whole thing onto the top of the box. I wanted to use Stampin’ Dimensionals here, but was concerned about them getting smushed in my suitcase, so I opted for glue. Once I got to Salt Lake City, I added a Rhinestone Basic Jewel to the O in You’re.

I filled the boxes with assorted chocolates, including Dove Promises in Dark Chocolate, Dark Chocolate with Mint, and Dark Chocolate with Sea Salt Caramel, as well as assorted Hershey Nuggets.
Here are my treat boxes filled and ready to take to the swap. A plastic shoe box was just the right size, and even would have held 10 more!

Check back to see the wonderful 3D items I received in this swap!
Here’s what I used:
Several of the products I used on these boxes will retire soon. Be sure to check out the retiring products in my online store A.S.A.P. Most are available only while supplies last, so hurry and get what you want before they’re gone!
