The new Botanical Gardens suite of products in the Occasions catalog is fabulous! There are coordinating stamp sets, Framelits Dies, Designer Series Paper, vellum, embellishments, and washi tape. There’s a bundle that has three components (Botanical Blooms stamp set, Botanical Builder Framelits Die, and Botanical Gardens DSP) and it’s priced so you can earn a *Sale-a-bration item! Two of the items (Botanicals For You stamp set and Botanical Gardens Designer Vellum Stack) are *Sale-a-bration items.
* You earn one FREE Sale-a-bration item with each $50 purchase, through March 31, 2016.
For today’s card, I used a piece of the DSP with it’s coordinating vellum. I offset the vellum from the underlying pattern just a tiny bit to give it more depth by creating a shadow effect.
I attached the vellum to the DSP with tiny dots of the Multipurpose Liquid Glue: wherever I knew it would be covered by a flower or the sentiment, and at each corner of the vellum behind one of the flower petals in the pattern.

I cut three flowers from Mint Macaron card stock with the Botanical Builder Framelits Dies, backed them with tiny scraps of Hello Honey CS, and glued them to the card front. Then I used my new Clear Wink of Stella Glitter Brush to add a bit of sparkle to them.

The card base is Whisper White Thick CS, with a layer of Mint Macaron CS, then the top layer of Botanical Gardens DSP and Botanical Gardens Designer Vellum.
The sentiment, from the A Dozen Thoughts stamp set, is stamped in Hello Honey on Whisper White CS. I cut it into a strip with my Stampin’ Trimmer, then used my Paper Snips to make points at the ends. I attached it with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
I used the Envelope Liners Framelits and a piece of the same DSP to create a liner for the envelope.

These are the items I used today, as well as all the items in the Botanical Gardens suite:

I have a LOT of retired items that need new homes. I mean, boxes and boxes and boxes full. I can’t even walk through the room they’re stored in. I really have to let this stuff go… to make room for more new stuff! So, I’m having a BOGO sale:
Whatever you spend on retired items, I will give you that much in new items! You only pay tax and shipping on the new stuff. Yes, you get twice the product!
Example: Say you buy $100 in retired product from me. Then you get $100 toward an order of new product. So you can get $100 in new product and pay just $17.70 for tax and shipping OR you can subtract $100 from a larger order of new product.
PLUS you get a free Sale-a-bration item for every $50 you spend.
PLUS you get a Gum Ball for every $50 you spend. (See how Gum Ball Rewards work here.)
This is a wonderful way to stock up, not only on retired products you may have missed, but also on current products in the Annual and Occasions catalogs. Be sure to have your current product wish list ready before you come, to make the order process easier.
Tell your friends!
I hope to see you there!

Have you seen the new Wildflower Fields Designer Series Paper in the Sale-a-bra-tion catalog? It’s really beautiful.

Today I used this sheet to create a Curvy Keepsake Box, with the floral pattern on the outside and the stripes on the inside.

I cut the tag from Whisper White card stock with the 1-1/4″ Scallop Circle Punch, punched a hole with the 1/8″ Circle Punch, then stamped on each side with the coordinating Flowering Fields stamp set. On one side I stamped in Lost Lagoon…

…and on the other side in Calypso Coral. Then I tied on the tag with Calypso Coral Thick Baker’s Twine. I think anyone would love to receive a small gift or treat in this pretty little box, don’t you?

This year’s Sale-a-bration catalog has some amazing new products. The Flowering Fields stamp set is one of them. These delicate images are perfect for almost anything. And they coordinate beautifully with the Wildflower Fields Designer Series Paper, also in the SAB catalog.

For today’s card I used three of the stamps in this set: the top center, the bottom center, and the butterfly. I stamped them in Basic Black on a Pear Pizzazz panel, then color them in with Stampin’ Write Markers in Real Red, So Saffron, and Pear Pizzazz.
I stamped the sentiment, from the Crazy About You stamp set, in Basic Black on a piece of Vellum card stock, then stapled it onto the front panel.

I glued the front panel onto a Real Red panel, and that onto the So Saffron card base.

I stamped You from the One Big Meaning stamp set on a piece of So Saffron card stock and glued it to the card’s interior. I used a Basic Black Stampin’ Write Marker to ink only the You on a stamp that says Thank You.

When I was at Stampin’ UpS OnStage event in Tampa, we got to cut one of these beautifully intricate hearts with the new Blooming’ Hearts Thinlits Dies and stamp flowers on it with the new Love Blossoms stamp set. Later, when I attended Monika Davis’ team meeting, she had created a Make & Take using this same heart.
These two items are available in a bundle to save 15%!

The card base is Blushing Bride card stock. The next panel is Crumb Cake CS, and it’s attached to the card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals. We cut the heart out of a piece from the Love Blossoms Designer Series Paper Stack and glued it onto the top panel.
I messed up a couple of the flowers that I stamped directly onto the heart, so I decided to stamp them in Rose Red on Blushing Bride CS, and cut them out with the Thinlits. Since the dies cut a hole out of the center of each flower, I backed each one with a tiny scrap of Whisper White CS, before gluing them onto the heart.
I stamped two more flowers in Rose Red directly onto the card base at the bottom, and created centers from Whisper White CS by using the 1/8″ Circle Punch.
The sentiment is stamped in Rose Red on a strip of Whisper White CS, notched at the ends with the 1″ Square Punch, and attached with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

At first I wasn’t sure I would like or need the new Number of Years stamp set, or the Large Numbers Framelits Dies, or the bundle. But I was so wrong! Especially after I saw all the great things you can do with them.
For today’s card, I inked up the number stamps in Old Olive ink, then spritzed them with water before stamping onto Whisper White card stock. I love the mottled look the spritzing created. I cut the numbers out with the coordinating dies, and attached them to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
This is a perfect time to use the skinny outer rim of your Stampin’ Dimensionals pack. I used scissors to cut some skinny strips for the backs of the numbers. You can also use the hexagonal Dimensionals themselves and just cut them in half, or thirds, or even fourths, depending on how narrow your image is.
I actually had this card sitting around for a while because I couldn’t decide how to finish it off once the base was done. The numbers were perfect!
The card base is Old Olive card stock, and the front panel is two pieces from the Pretty Petals Designer Series Paper stack. Along the intersection of the two pieces of DSP, I glued a a piece of Old Olive Baker’s Twine and a piece of Calypso Coral Thick Baker’s Twine.
Now I just have to wait until someone I know turns 25 or has a silver anniversary!
