I made these little Easter Baskets as favors for each place setting at the March Candy Hearts team meeting. You can read about the gathering here. I used Cupcakes & Carousels Designer Series Paper and the blue bows from the coordinating Embellishment Kit. These go together super fast.
Here’s what I made:
Here’s what I did:
Cut and scored with my Stampin’ Trimmer:
- Cupcakes & Carousels Designer Series Paper (DSP) to 3-3/4″ x 3-3/4″, then scored at 1-1/4″ and 2-1/2″ on one side, then rotated it 90 and scored again at 1-1/4″ and 2-1/2″
- DSP to 3/4″ x 4″ strip
Cut with Paper Snips:
- two score lines on each of two opposite sides
- Diagram: solid lines = cut, and dotted lines = fold
Assembled the basket:
- folded up the three sections along one of the cut sides
- angled in the two outer pieces and glued to the center piece
- repeated on the other side
- glued handle to inside of basket on each side
- adhered a bow to the basket with Mini Glue Dots
- filled with crinkly gift bag filler and Easter candies by Cadbury and Lindt

For our March Candy Hearts meeting, which you can read about here, I got cupcakes at SmallCakes, which is located dangerously close to where I live. I used the Basket Bunch Bundle to make these cute little Easter Basket cupcake toppers.
All you have to do is change it up a little to make cupcake toppers for any event. They would be perfect for baby showers, bridal showers, wedding favors, parties,…
Here’s what I made:
Here’s what I did:
Stamped with the Basket Bunch stamp set:
- bunny in Chocolate Chip ink onto Chocolate Chip card stock (CS)
Die cut using the Basket Builder Framelits:
- stamped bunny (1)
- basket bottom (2) and basket handle (1) from Crumb Cake CS
- grass from Cucumber Crush CS (1)
- eggs from Daffodil Delight, Melon Mambo, and Tempting Turquoise CS (1 each color)
Assembled the Cupcake Toppers:
- used Paper Snips to trim the grass to fit, and glued it to the back of the basket
- handle ends glue to back of basket/grass
- put glue on the bottom of the bunny and tucked it in between the basket and grass
- 3 eggs glued to back of basket so they show behind grass – make sure at least part of each egg is hidden behind the basket, so it won’t show in the back
- applied Fast Fuse to the second basket, laid the top of a 4″ wooden skewer on it, then laid the first basket (with bunny, etc.) on top to adhere, and trap the skewer top between the layers

Each month my team, the Candy Hearts, has a team gathering where we share information, have demonstrations and challenges, make projects, swap projects, play games, learn techniques, eat snacks, laugh a lot, and generally have a good time. This month we celebrated Easter, and had a 3D Swap.
Here are the 3D Swap items:

Butterfly Curvy Keepsake Box by Candy Ford. Clear box with Blossom on top and pink filler by Judy Newsome. Wisteria Wonder Window Box (see below) by Lonita Barron. You’re A Good Egg box by Missy Wiedeman. Rich Razzleberry small purse by Donica Williams.
Debbie’s box contained note cards in all the 2015-2017 In Colors.

I thought I posted this card many weeks ago, but it somehow slipped through the cracks. But I had to share it with you, because I think it’s just beautiful, if I do say so myself. I used products from the Falling In Love Suite and the So In Love Bundle, what I’m calling the Falling So In Love Suite (on pages 51 & 52 in the 2017 Occasions Catalog) to make this soft and pretty Happy Anniversary card.

Here’s what I made:
Here’s what I did:
Cut and scored with my Stampin’ Trimmer:
- Soft Sky card stock (CS) cut to 8-1/2″ x 5-1/2″, then scored in half at 4-1/4″
- Very Vanilla CS cut to 4-1/8″ x 5-3/8″
- Falling In Love Designer Series Paper (DSP) cut to 4″ x 5-1/4″
- Very Vanilla CS strip cut to 3/4″ x 4″
- Soft Sky CS stripcut to 1″ x 4″
- Very Vanilla CScut to 3″ x 6″ for die cut
Notched one end with the Banner Triple Punch:
- 3/4″ x 4″ Very Vanilla CS strip
- 1″ x 4″ Soft Sky CS strip
Stamped with the So In Love stamp set:
- sentiment in Sahara Sand ink onto the Very Vanilla strip
Die cut using the So Detailed Thinlits:
- 3″ x 6″ Very Vanilla CS with the largest die in the set
Assembled the card:
- die cut piece glued onto left edge of DSP, with the solid strip wrapped around to the back
- Very Vanilla strip glued onto Soft Sky strip, lining up the notched ends, to create layered sentiment banner
- Falling In Love Embellishment adhered to layered sentiment banner with Mini Glue Dots
- layered sentiment banner glued onto the DSP/die cut, then usedPaper Snips to trim off any excess that extended past the left edge of the DSP
- DSP glued onto Very Vanilla layer
- Very Vanilla layer glued onto Soft Sky card base

I’ve been itching to use the Yummy in My Tummy stamp set from the Occasions catalog. The creatures are ugly and adorable at the same time. I finally got around to playing with it for today’s card. I tried to create the effect of the monster being just barely visible in the darkness.

Here’s what I made:
card lying flat
lightened photo so you can see the monster’s features
This card is dark and kind of hard to photograph, so I took pictures from different angles, and even lightened up one so you can see the monster’s features better.
Here’s what I did:
Cut and scored with my Stampin’ Trimmer:
- Basic Gray card stock (CS) to 4-1/4″ x 11″, then scored in half at 5-1/2″
- Urban Underground Designer Series Paper (DSP) to 3-3/4″ x 3-3/4″
Stamped with the Yummy in My Tummy stamp set:
- monster in Basic Black ink onto the DSP
- sentiment in Basic Black ink in the circle on the monster’s tummy
Used White Chalk Marker:
- filled in horns, teeth, and hands
Die cut using the Layering Circles Framelits:
- the monster’s tummy from the DSP (keep the die cut circle for the sentiment
- the same size circle from the Basic Gray card base
- NOTE: After gluing the DSP to the front of the card base, open the card and lay it on the Big Shot. Use the hole in the DSP to line up the same circle die and cut through the Basic Gray CS.*
Assembled the card:
- *DSP (with circle cut from tummy) glued onto the card base, then the circle die cut again through the Basic Gray CS
- circle with sentiment glued onto the inside of the card base so it will show through the hole in the front
- two Blushing Bride self-stick enamel hearts stuck over the stamped hearts next to the sentiment
- I plan to write inside the card with the white chalk marker directly onto the Basic Gray card base.

Are you wearing green today so you don’t get pinched? I was wondering how in the world that tradition ever got started, so of course I Googled it: “St. Patrick’s revelers thought wearing green made one invisible to leprechauns, fairy creatures who would pinch anyone they could see (anyone not wearing green). People began pinching those who didn’t wear green as a reminder that leprechauns would sneak up and pinch green-abstainers.” So there’s your history lesson for the day.
You may think it odd that I’m posting a birthday card today instead of a St. Patrick’s Day card. Two reasons: 1) I posted one a few days ago – you can see that post here, and 2) March 17 is my sister Judy’s birthday!

Cut and scored with my Stampin’ Trimmer:
- Elegant Eggplant card stock (CS) to 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″, then scored in half at 4-1/4″
- Rich Razzleberry CS to 5-3/8″ x 4-1/8″
- Perfect Plum CS to 5-1/4″ x 4″
- Melon Mambo CS to 5-1/8″ x 3-7/8″
- Wisteria Wonder CS to 5″ x 3-3/4″
- Sweet Sugarplum 4-7/8″ x 3-5/8″
- Pink Pirouette 4-3/4″ x 3-1/2″
- Pink Pirouette CS to 5-1/4″ x 4″ (for the inside)
- Lace Doily in half
Stamped with the Stylized Birthday stamp:
- the sentiment in Perfect Plum ink onto the4-3/4″ x 3-1/2″ Pink Pirouette CS
Assembled the card:
- Lace Doily half (Very Vanilla side showing) glued to the top of the 5-1/4″ x 4″ Pink Pirouette CS
- 5-1/4″ x 4″ Pink Pirouette CS glued to the inside of the Elegant Eggplant card base
- NOTE: the following five layers are turned counter clockwise just a little bit, but not so far that the corners extend past the CS it’s glued to.
- Rich Razzleberry CS glued to the front of the Elegant Eggplant card base
- Perfect Plum CS glued to the front of Rich Razzleberry CS
- Melon Mambo CS glued to the front of Perfect Plum CS
- Wisteria Wonder CS glued to the front of Melon Manbo CS
- Sweet Sugarplum CS glued to the front of Wisteria Wonder CS
- centered and parallel to the card base, Pink Pirouette CS with sentiment glued onto the top of the layers
- adhered a Very Vanilla tassel to the corner of the Pink Pirouette CS with Mini Glue Dots.
- tied a bow with Melon Mambo Thick Baker’s Twine and Elegant Eggplant Solid Baker’s Twine together, then adhered the bow to the top of the tassel with Mini Glue Dots
