Hello, Sweet Stampers!
I just want to give you a heads up. Sorry for not posting in the last couple days. The thing is, this flu bug has kicked me down and taken my name. While I continue to get a little better day by day as it runs its course, I have no energy. I mean zero. It’s about all I can muster just to type this.
I certainly hope to be back to my old shenanigans very soon, but until then, I’ll be in bed, either asleep or bored half to death because I can’t sleep any more.
Since I can’t get to my studio to stamp right now, would you do me a huge favor? I’d love to live vicariously through you and see what you’re working on. Please help out a bored old sick lady by posting pics of your creations on my Stamp Candy Facebook page. I would greatly appreciate it.
Thanks so much, and Sweet Stamping!

P.S. Remember to get the Retiring Products before they’re all gone! And use Host Code HV6MJT2X on orders less then $150 when you check out.

It’s hard to believe we’ve had these colors for two years already. Now they are the Retiring In Colors. Which one will you miss the most? They’re all great colors and useful in their own way, but I’ve definitely used Mint Macaron the most. So that’s the In Color I used for today’s card. I used a Sponge Brayer to color a piece of Irresistibly Floral Designer Series Paper in Mint Macaron, and used card stock, ink and ribbon all in Mint Macaron.

Welcome to InKing Royalty’s April Blog Hop! Today’s hop is filled with projects inspired by the Stampin’ Up!’s retiring 2015-2017 In Color Collection – our tributes to Cucumber Crush, Delightful Dijon, Mint Macaron, Tip Top Taupe and Watermelon Wonder. What fun! We’ve really enjoyed playing with these amazing colors over the past two years – and we are excited to share our creations with you today. After you read my post, I hope you’ll hop over to the next person on the list at the base of this post.
The April InKing Royalty Blog Hop is all about the retiring In Colors. Join us as we hop from blog to blog to see all the wonderful projects this talented group has made.

Here’s what I made:

Here’s what I did:
Cut and scored with my Stampin’ Trimmer:
- Mint Macaron card stock (CS) to 4-1/4″ x 11″, then scored in half at 5-1/2″
- Whisper White CS to 4-1/8″ x 5-3/8″
- Irresistibly Floral Designer Series Paper (DSP) to 4″ x 5-1/4″
- Whisper White CS to 4″ x 5-1/4″ for the inside
Stamped with the Circle of Spring stamp set:
- sentiment in Mint Macaron ink onto a separate piece of Whisper White CS
Stamped with the Falling Flowers stamp set:
- flowers in Mint Macaron ink onto the Whisper White CS for the inside

Die cut using the Stitched Shapes Framelits:
- oval around the stamped sentiment, with the sentiment near the bottom
Die cut using the May Flowers Framelits:
- leaf from a scrap of Mint Macaron CS
Inked the DSP with a Sponge Brayer:
- rolled the brayer over the DSP with Mint Macaron ink, putting more ink at the bottom and less as your get near the top
Assembled the card:
- oval with sentiment glued to the DSP
- Mint Macaron Mini Striped Ribbon adhered to DSP, over oval, using Fast Fuse, and ends wrapped to the back
- 1/8″ Whisper White ribbon adhered over Mint Macaron ribbon with Fast Fuse
- die cut leaf glued onto DSP and ribbon
- DSP glued onto 4-1/8″ x 5-3/8″ Whisper White CS
- Whisper White CS glued onto card base
- Whisper White CS stamped with flowers glued to inside of card base

A couple days ago I shared, or re-shared, some projects I’ve made using products that are retiring. You can see them here. Today I thought I’d re-share some more with you.
Remember, just because the catalog technically lasts through the end of May, not all the retiring products will last that long. Most items are available only while supplies last, and some things have already sold out. Retiring stamp sets will be available to order until May 22, but after that they’ll also be available only while supplies last.

Apr 16, 2017 | Cards, Events, Gallery, Retiring Products, Swaps, Techniques |
Today I’m sharing another project, technically three, that I made using the shaving cream marbling technique. To see the first card I made, and a video on the technique, click here. I used the three pieces of marbled paper that I made before, and used the Sweet & Sassy Framelits Dies to cut out the marbled hearts.

Here’s what I made:

Here’s what I did:
Cut and scored with my Stampin’ Trimmer:
- Pacific Point card stock (CS) to 4-1/4″ x 11″, then scored in half at 5-1/2″
- Melon Mambo CS to 4″ x 5-1/4″
- Tempting Turquoise CS to 3-3/4″ x 5″
- Whisper White CS to 3-3/4″ x 5″ for the inside
Die cut using the Sweet & Sassy Framelits:
- one small, one medium, and one large heart from each piece of marbled paper
Assembled the card:
- Melon Mambo Thick Baker’s Twine wrapped around front of Tempting Turquoise CS and adhered to back with Fast Fuse
- a second piece of Melon Mambo Thick Baker’s Twine tied around the first piece, and tied in a bow
- used the brush end of a Tempting Turquoise Stampin’ Write Marker to color just the very edges of all the marbled hearts
- largest marbled heart glued to Tempting Turquoise CS
- medium and small hearts adhered to Tempting Turquoise CS with Stampin’ Dimensionals
- Tempting Turquoise CS glued onto Melon Mambo CS
- Melon Mambo CS glued onto Pacific Point card base
- Whisper White CS for inside of card – you can glue it to the inside of the card base, or you can write your personal note on it and leave it loose inside, so the recipient can reuse the card

Apr 15, 2017 | Boxes, Cards, Retiring Products |
I had a wonderful time in Savannah last weekend at Stampin’ Up!’s OnStage event, but evidently I contracted the plague while I was there. Okay, it’s just the flu, but it still really stinks. Since I have no energy to get in my studio and create, I thought I’d share some cards from the past that I made using products that are retiring. Sort of a last hurrah, so to speak. Each of these projects uses at least one retiring item. It could be the paper, a retiring In Color, or stamp set. Or it could be that, in my flu medicine induced stupor, I accidentally included something that I shouldn’t have. So, you know, just enjoy looking at it anyway.
Hopefully, I’ll get some energy soon so I can start playing with the new goodies I was able to pre-pre-order. It is excruciating to see the boxes of new stuff just sitting here. Until then, please enjoy these blasts from the past.
