May Your Love Grow Stronger with Floral Phrases

Today I’m sharing another simple card made using the new Fresh Florals Suite of products. You can see the first one in yesterday’s post here. I went with Tranquil Tide today, and used a very sweet sentiment from the Floral Phrases stamp set. As with all of the 5 cards in this series, I also used a 2017-2019 In Colors Bitty Bow.

Here’s what I made:

Wedding or Anniversary card, Floral Phrases stamp set, Fresh Florals DSP, 2017-2019 In Colors Bitty Bows, by Stampin' Up! #stampcandy

Here’s what I did:

Cut and scored with my Stampin’ Trimmer:

  • Tranquil Tide card stock (CS) cut to 4-1/4″ x 11″, then scored in half at 5-1/2″
  • Whisper White CS cut to 4-1/8″ x 5-3/8″
  • Fresh Florals Designer Series Paper (DSP) cut to 4″ x 5-1/4″
  • Whisper White CS cut to about 1-1/4″ x 4″ (I say about 1-1/4″ because I trimmed it after I stamped the sentiment so it would fit nicely around the words.)
  • Whisper White CS cut to 4″ x 5-1/4″ for the inside

Stamped with the Floral Phrases stamp set:

  • sentiment in Tranquil Tide ink onto the Whisper White CS strip

Assembled the card:

  • 4-1/8″ x 5-3/8″ Whisper White CS layer glued onto the front of the card base
  • DSP glued onto the Whisper White CS layer
  • sentiment strip glued onto the DSP
  • Bitty Bow applied to the card front
  • 4″ x 5-1/4″ Whisper White CS glued to the inside of the card base

Easter Basket Bunch Bundle Cupcake Toppers

For our March Candy Hearts meeting, which you can read about here, I got cupcakes at SmallCakes, which is located dangerously close to where I live. I used the Basket Bunch Bundle to make these cute little Easter Basket cupcake toppers.

All you have to do is change it up a little to make cupcake toppers for any event. They would be perfect for baby showers, bridal showers, wedding favors, parties,…

Here’s what I made:

#candyhearts team meeting snacks March 2017 meeting, Stampin' Up! #stampcandy

Top your Easter cupcakes with these easy Easter baskets full of eggs and a chocolate bunny. Basket Bunch Bundle, Stampin' Up! #stampcandy

Here’s what I did:

Stamped with the Basket Bunch stamp set:

  • bunny in Chocolate Chip ink onto Chocolate Chip card stock (CS)

Die cut using the Basket Builder Framelits:

  • stamped bunny (1)
  • basket bottom (2) and basket handle (1) from Crumb Cake CS
  • grass from Cucumber Crush CS (1)
  • eggs from Daffodil Delight, Melon Mambo, and Tempting Turquoise CS (1 each color)

Assembled the Cupcake Toppers:

  • used Paper Snips to trim the grass to fit, and glued it to the back of the basket
  • handle ends glue to back of basket/grass
  • put glue on the bottom of the bunny and tucked it in between the basket and grass
  • 3 eggs glued to back of basket so they show behind grass – make sure at least part of each egg is hidden behind the basket, so it won’t show in the back
  • applied Fast Fuse to the second basket, laid the top of a 4″ wooden skewer on it, then laid the first basket (with bunny, etc.) on top to adhere, and trap the skewer top between the layers

Happy Anniversary with Falling So In Love

I thought I posted this card many weeks ago, but it somehow slipped through the cracks. But I had to share it with you, because I think it’s just beautiful, if I do say so myself. I used products from the Falling In Love Suite and the So In Love Bundle, what I’m calling the Falling So In Love Suite (on pages 51 & 52 in the 2017 Occasions Catalog) to make this soft and pretty Happy Anniversary card.

Be sure to scroll down to the bottom of this post for some big news about Sale-a-bration!

Here’s what I made:

All the products in the Falling In Love Suite from Stampin' Up! are so soft and beautiful. #stampcandy

Here’s what I did:

  • Soft Sky card stock (CS) cut to 8-1/2″ x 5-1/2″, then scored in half at 4-1/4″
  • Very Vanilla CS cut to 4-1/8″ x 5-3/8″
  • Falling In Love Designer Series Paper (DSP) cut to 4″ x 5-1/4″
  • Very Vanilla CS strip cut to 3/4″ x 4″
  • Soft Sky CS stripcut to 1″ x 4″
  • Very Vanilla CScut to 3″ x 6″ for die cut

Notched one end with the Banner Triple Punch:

  • 3/4″ x 4″ Very Vanilla CS strip
  • 1″ x 4″ Soft Sky CS strip

Stamped with the So In Love stamp set:

  • sentiment in Sahara Sand ink onto the Very Vanilla strip

Die cut using the So Detailed Thinlits:

  • 3″ x 6″ Very Vanilla CS with the largest die in the set

Assembled the card:

  • die cut piece glued onto left edge of DSP, with the solid strip wrapped around to the back
  • Very Vanilla strip glued onto Soft Sky strip, lining up the notched ends, to create layered sentiment banner
  • Falling In Love Embellishment adhered to layered sentiment banner with Mini Glue Dots
  • layered sentiment banner glued onto the DSP/die cut, then usedPaper Snips to trim off any excess that extended past the left edge of the DSP
  • DSP glued onto Very Vanilla layer
  • Very Vanilla layer glued onto Soft Sky card base

All the Best

navy floral engagement card a

As soon as I saw the new Floral Boutique suite of products, I was smitten. Night of Navy and Whisper White is one of my favorite color combos, so the Floral Boutique Designer Series Paper and coordinating Washi Tape were an immediate hit with me. The Floral Phrases stamp set is beautiful. I love the Night of Navy Baker’s Twine. And the Detailed Floral Thinlits Dies are spectacular!

The Thinlits are the only product from the suite I used on today’s card, but you can certainly see I took my inspiration from the whole set.

The card base is Night of Navy card stock cut to 4-1/4″ x 11″. I cut each end with the Thinlits, and scored twice to make a 5-1/2″ long space between.

I stamped the sentiment from the Better Together stamp set in Night of Navy ink onto a piece of Whisper White card stock, then I glued it to the card’s interior.

I used Fast Fuse to adhere a piece of the Whisper White Organza Ribbon to the back of the card, and left the two ends of the ribbon loose. When the card is closed, you just tie a bow.

I used the Envelope Punch Board to make an envelope from a piece of Night of Navy paper from the Regals DSP Stack. To send through the mail, be sure to use a white mailing label.

Elegant Wonder for CYCI112

CYCI 112 a

It’s time for another sketch challenge from canyoucaseit.com! Here is this week’s sketch…

CYCI 112 - March 18-20

…and here is my card.

CYCI 112 b

My interpretation of the sketch is pretty literal this time. But I think the watercolored oval changes things up a bit. It adds texture and interest without a particular image that might take away from the sentiment.

The card base is Elegant Eggplant card stock, with a Whisper White CS layer on top of that, and a layer of Have A Cuppa Designer Series Paper (in Wisteria Wonder and Whisper White) on top of that.

The oval is Watercolor Paper cut with the Ovals Collection Framelits Dies. I used an Aqua Painter to watercolor all but the outer rim in Elegant Eggplant. I adhered 5 different pieces of Whisper White ribbon to the back and trimmed them with my Craft Scissors – the best ribbon scissors ever! I then glued it onto the card front.

I stamped the sentiment from the Teeny Tiny Wishes stamp set in Elegant Eggplant on a strip of Whisper White CS and attached that with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Lastly I added some Elegant Eggplant Candy Dots.

Be sure to check out all the great projects at canyoucaseit.com. And play along with us by posting your own version of today’s sketch!

Annual Love

Debbie's love card b

The new Occasions catalog is out and everyone is excited about all the new products, but let’s not forget about all the wonderful products in the Annual catalog.

Today I’m sharing a card designed by my extremely talented team member, Debbie Catlett. She used products from the Annual catalog to create this gorgeous card. Since there is no sentiment on the front, it’s perfect for many occasions: Valentine’s Day, wedding, Mother’s Day, or just to show someone you love them. It’s great for males and females alike.

Debbie shared this as a Make & Take at our December team meeting.

Debbie valentine card a

Here are a couple of tips:

  1. Anytime you are using an embossing folder, do all of your cutting and stamping first. (There are some techniques that have you emboss first, but that’s another post.) We punched the corners of the Whisper White panel and punched the hearts before embossing them.
  2. We wrapped two pieces of the ribbon around the front of the embossed Whisper White panel, adhering them on the back with Fast Fuse. Then we tied the Linen Thread around the intersection to cinch up the ribbon and create the big bow.
  3. We put the tiny pearls inside each circle of the embossed design that was large enough.
