Here’s what I made:

These sweet little cards are great to have around for all those baby showers you’re always invited to.

Visit stampcandy.net to learn how to make these sweet baby cards using the Any Occasion stamp set from the Sale-a-bration catalog, Whisper White Note Card & Envelopes, Lace Doilies, Bow Paper Clip Embellishments, Subtles Enamel Shapes. Colors are Soft Sky, Blushing Bride, and Whisper White. #stampcandy #stampinup

Here’s what I did:

I used Whisper White Note Cards & Envelopes – these are wonderful to have around for quick and easy card making (they also come in Crumb Cake.)

The boy card has a piece of Soft Sky card stock (CS) glued to the card front. I stamped the images from the Any Occasion stamp set in Soft Sky ink onto a piece of Whisper White CS, attached a Bow Paper Clip, then glued it to the card front.

The girl card is the same except for the color (Blushing Bride) and instead of the paper clip, I tucked in half a Lace Doily, and added a Blushing Bride heart from the Subtles Enamel Shapes.

Easy peasy!

Moon Baby Shower Gift Bag for FMS276

My project today is made with the Moon Baby stamp set, Kraft Tag a Bag Gift Bags, and Layering Ovals Framelits Dies. This sweet little gift bag is perfect for a small baby shower gift or card. The design is inspired by this week’s Freshly Made Sketches Challenge:

Here’s what I made:

Make this sweet little gift bag with the Moon Baby stamp set by Stampin' Up! #stampcandy

Here’s what I did:

Cut with my Stampin’ Trimmer:

  • So Saffron DSP from the Subtles Designer Series Paper Stack to 3-1/2″ x 6″

Stamped with the Moon Baby stamp set:

  • full image in Basic Black ink onto a piece of Whisper White CS
  • sentiment in Basic Black ink onto the 3-1/2″ x 6″ piece of DSP
  • just the umbrella in Basic Black ink onto a small scrap of the DSP

Colored in with So Saffron Stampin’ Write Marker:

  • baby’s clothes and hair
  • tiny circle on the top of the umbrella

Die cut using the Layering Ovals Framelits Dies :

  • full image on Whisper White CS
  • next size up oval from another Kraft Tag a Bag Gift Bag
  • scalloped oval from Basic Black CS

Fussy cut with Paper Snips:

  • umbrella top that was stamped on the scrap of DSP

Assembled the bag:

  • umbrella top glued to the full image
  • full image glued to the oval cut from another kraft bag
  • kraft oval glued to scalloped Basic Black oval
  • large piece of DSP glued to the front of the bag, and folded over the top of the bag
  • Basic Black oval glued to the DSP & bag
  • folded over the top of the bag and used a clip to hold it closed

Katie’s Blue Owl Baby Card

Katie Carter card d

A few days ago, my customer Brenda Carswell and her daughter Katie Carter came over to make cards. Katie needed a baby card and Brenda needed a sympathy card. Today I’m sharing Katie’s card. She wanted it to be blue because the baby’s mom is someone she was in school with and the school colors were blue. She also really wanted an owl. Here’s what she came up with.

Katie Carter card c

Isn’t it adorable? I love the tiny scallop trim around the sentiment, and the blue owl with the little pink heart.

Here’s Katie hard at work assembling her owl.

Katie Carter card a

And here she is proudly holding her finished card.

Katie Carter card b

Here’s how she made it.

The card base is Dapper Denim card stock with a piece of Marina Mist Designer Series Paper glue to it.

The sentiment from the Better Together stamp set is stamped in Dapper Denim ink onto Whisper White card stock, then cut with the Layering Ovals Framelits. It is matted with a piece of Dapper Denim card stock cut with one of the scalloped ovals from the same Framelits set. Then it’s glued to the card front.

The owl is made using the Owl Builder Punch to cut Dapper Denim, Marina Mist, Whisper White, and Blushing Bride card stock.

The branch from the Best Birds stamp set is stamped in Dapper Denim onto Whisper White CS, then cut with the coordinating Birds & Blooms Thinlits dies.

The owl and the branch are attached with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Be sure to check back to see Brenda’s beautiful card.

Welcome Baby Badge

Who says all baby stuff has to be pastel pink, blue, or yellow? I think it should depend on the personalities and tastes of the parents.  So today I’m sharing a card for some not-so-pastel parents-to-be.

welcome baby badge card b

The new Pop of Pink Specialty Designer Series Paper is so versatile! One side of each sheet is black and white, and the other has Melon Mambo. For today’s card, I used this pattern of black with white and Melon Mambo hearts, and colored in the little white hearts with a Tempting Turquoise Stampin’ Write Marker.

The card base is Whisper White Thick card stock. I glued the colored DSP to that.

I stamped the badge and banner from the Badges & Banners stamp set, and the bunny and kitty from the Made With Love stamp set, in Basic Black onto Whisper White card stock. I colored in the words on the banner with Tempting Turquoise and Melon mambo markers.

A note on black ink pads: I usually use Archival Basic Black ink with rubber stamps, and Memento Tuxedo Black ink with photopolymer stamps. You can absolutely use both inks with both types of stamps. The Archival ink really stains the photopolymer stamps, which doesn’t hurt them at all, but I prefer to use the Memento so they don’t stain as much. This is just my personal preference.

I colored in the animal’s ears with a Pink Pirouette Stampin’ Write Marker.

I cut the badge with the Best Badge Punch and the banner with the Duet Banner Punch. I used my trusty Paper Snips to cut out the two little critters.

Everything is glued with Multipurpose Liquid Glue except the banner, which is adhered with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

And did I mention that the Badges & Banners stamp set and the Best Badge Punch are available as a bundle to save 10%? Click on the images below to get yours now!

Baby Pop Up Matchbox

matchbox card d

Hello, Sweet Stampers! I’m sorry I haven’t posted in a few days. I’ve been having some computer issues. Hopefully they’re fixed now.

Today I’m excited to share another Stamp Club project with you. It’s a Baby Themed Pop Up Matchbox Card with space in the back for a gift card. Everyone got to choose which color cover and ribbon they wanted to use, which colors to stamp the items inside the box, and which colors to use for the box label – all combinations of Blushing Bride, Daffodil Delight, and Pool Party. My sample has more blue than pink and yellow.

At first you see the sweet little box tied up with ribbon.

Then when you untie the ribbon and begin to pull out the inner tray, you see the continuation of the sentiment from the cover peeking out.

As you continue to pull, all the little goodies pop up! Window Sheets cut into strips and adhered to the backs of the images with Glue Dots help them pop.

This is what the tray looks like before adding the goodies. There is space in the back for a gift card.

Here are 18 different color combinations of the box label, to help you decide which you like best:

Messy Little Lamb for PPA255

PPA255 little lamb card b

Barnyard Babies is one of my favorite new stamp sets. It’s great for baby cards, like I’ve used it here, but it can also be used for other occasions. The animal images are adorable.

Today’s Pals Paper Arts challenge is to use these three colors:

PPA255 colors

And here’s my card:

PPA255 little lamb card a

While the primary color of this card is whisper White, I did use all three of the specified colors. When I first saw these colors, the only thing I could think of was to dirty up the blue with the browns. That’s when the baby bib came to mind. I think this little fellow must have had some gravy. But at least the bib protected his white shirt underneath!

The Elegant Dots TIEF gave a delicate texture to the “shirt.” Usually the tiny dots would be raised, but I chose to turn the “back” side out so the pattern would be even more subtle. It really reminds me of a baby tee shirt. It also reminds me of “quilted” bathroom tissue, but that’s another card.

The sentiment welcomes the baby. The dirty bib gives the new parents a glimpse of things to come. 😉
