I made these little Easter Baskets as favors for each place setting at the March Candy Hearts team meeting. You can read about the gathering here. I used Cupcakes & Carousels Designer Series Paper and the blue bows from the coordinating Embellishment Kit. These go together super fast.
Here’s what I made:

Here’s what I did:
Cut and scored with my Stampin’ Trimmer:
- Cupcakes & Carousels Designer Series Paper (DSP) to 3-3/4″ x 3-3/4″, then scored at 1-1/4″ and 2-1/2″ on one side, then rotated it 90 and scored again at 1-1/4″ and 2-1/2″
- DSP to 3/4″ x 4″ strip
Cut with Paper Snips:
- two score lines on each of two opposite sides
- Diagram: solid lines = cut, and dotted lines = fold

Assembled the basket:
- folded up the three sections along one of the cut sides
- angled in the two outer pieces and glued to the center piece
- repeated on the other side
- glued handle to inside of basket on each side
- adhered a bow to the basket with Mini Glue Dots
- filled with crinkly gift bag filler and Easter candies by Cadbury and Lindt

Today I’m sharing my 3D Swap from our March Candy Hearts team meeting, which you can read about here. It’s really super simple. I used the Curvy Keepsake Box Framelits to make the box, and added a vellum butterfly. That’s it! Well, other than filling them with chocolates. Aren’t they pretty? They look like the butterflies are about to fly away with them.
Here’s what I made:

Here’s what I did:
Cut and scored with my Stampin’ Trimmer:
- 2015-2017 In Color Designer Series Paper (DSP) to 6″ x 12″
- Vellum card stock (CS) to 3-1/2″ wide strips
- cut each die-cut butterfly in half, up through the body*
Die cut using the Curvy Keepsake Box Framelits:
- DSP cut with the box die (2 per box)
Die cut using the Butterflies Thinlits:
- *butterflies from Vellum – one per box
Assembled the box:
- two box pieces glued together at the bottom
- glued a butterfly half on each side of the slot, as shown – make sure this part gets closed last
- close three sides of the box, fill with goodies, then close the fourth part with the butterfly

Each month my team, the Candy Hearts, has a team gathering where we share information, have demonstrations and challenges, make projects, swap projects, play games, learn techniques, eat snacks, laugh a lot, and generally have a good time. This month we celebrated Easter, and had a 3D Swap.
Here are the 3D Swap items:

Butterfly card by Tamara Burton. Black money card by Margie Shippey. Mint Macaron large purse by Linda Krueger. Cucumber Crush box (see below) by Debbie Catlett. Butterfly Curvy Keepsake Box by Candy Ford. Clear box with Blossom on top and pink filler by Judy Newsome. Wisteria Wonder Window Box (see below) by Lonita Barron. You’re A Good Egg box by Missy Wiedeman. Rich Razzleberry small purse by Donica Williams.

Debbie’s box contained note cards in all the 2015-2017 In Colors.

Lonita even decorated the inside of her box!
Here are the Easter Baskets I made for each place setting:

Here are the cupcake toppers I made:

The cupcakes were from SmallCakes. Each was a different flavor, and they were delicious!
Here are the Candy Hearts who came to the meeting:

Now that’s a beautiful group! Clockwise from bottom left: Caitlin Jones, Kimberly Laidley, Donica Williams, Tamara Burton, Debbie Catlett, Judy Newsome, Missy Wiedelan, Linda Krueger, Lonita Barron, and Margie Shippey.
Here’s Isabella trying to nap in the sun after the meeting:

She was exhausted after all the excitement.

“Please stop taking my picture and let me go back to sleep.”

I made this faceted box last fall, I think, and I’m just now getting around to posting it. It’s much easier to make than it looks. I don’t remember where I learned to make these – there are lots of different tutorials out there. And they’re all adorable! If I had to guess, I’d say it probably started with Sam Hammond, a Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator in the UK. She makes lots of little boxes.
Here’s what I made:

Here’s what I did:
See diagrams below, and click on the images to see them full size.
Cut and scored with my Stampin’ Trimmer:
- Daffodil Delight card stock (CS) cut to 7-7/8″ x 11-1/2″ (now stamp before scoring)
- measuring along the short side, score at 2-1/2″, 4-5/8″, 7-1/8″
- rotate 90° counterclockwise, so the skinniest section is at the top, then score only down to the second score line (cross one score line and stop at the second) at 2-1/2″, 5″, 7-1/2″, 10″
- rotate 180° and score only down to the first score line at 1/4″, 2-3/4″, 5-1/4″, 7-3/4″, 10-1/4″
Scored using Stylus and a ruler:
- diagonal lines as shown in diagram
All lines in this 1st diagram are scored, then the solid lines are cut, and the dotted lines are left intact.

Cut with my Paper Snips (see diagram below):
- all areas in grey cut away
- cut through all solid score lines, and leave dotted score lines intact
- fold all score lines and burnish with a Bone Folder
This 2nd diagram shows where to cut, and where to adhere sides of box together.

Stamped all over the CS (before scoring and cutting):
- flourish from the First Sight stamp set in Blushing Bride ink
- speckles from the Gorgeous Grunge stamp set in Pool Party ink
Punched:
- flower from Blushing Bride CS with the Pansy Punch
- flower from Pool Party CS with the Petite Petals Punch
- circle from Daffodil Delight CS with the 1/4″ Circle Punch (now I think I would use an enamel shape instead of a punched circle)
Assembled the faceted box:
- applied adhesive to the triangle in yellow and stuck it to the inside of the green area (see diagram)
- all four sides of the bottom of the box folded in and glued them together
- top pieces of the box folded in, tucking in the angled the tab
- Note 1: the two side pieces have been trimmed down just a bit, to help it close, but leave them long enough to overlap each other.
- Note 2: the tab has been angled ever so slightly so it will tuck into the angled box
- Daffodil Delight 1/4″ circle (or Enamel Shape) glued to the center of the Pool Party flower
- Pool Party flower glued to the center of the Blushing Bride flower
- Blushing Bride flower glued to the top of the box

Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator extraordinaire Pam Morris had a team meeting at her parents’ Subway restaurant Saturday, and it was so much fun! Thanks again to her mom, Carol, for graciously hosting (tolerating) us! I love love love it when I can get together with other SU Demos, and this is a particularly fantastic group of people. And talented, too! (I’m not biased at all.) Today I’m sharing the team swaps with you. Prepare to be impressed!
If you see a little candy machine full of hearts next to someone’s name, that means they are a member of my team, the Candy Hearts! I’ll post my swap card tomorrow, so be sure to check it out.

Ferrero Rocher boxes were very popular at the meeting on Saturday. This Make & Take was super easy to make with the Envelope Punch Board, a 1/4″ Circle Punch, and a straw! (The 1/4″ punch is on Clearance, so get it NOW!)

Today I’m sharing a project that I presented at a stamping event in November, and that my downline requested we make at our next meeting. It’s a Sliding Treat Box with a Twist Pop-Up Panel Card attached.
Here’s what I made:

2017
The card opens to show fireworks and a panel with 2017, and the box slides open to reveal the goodies inside.

I made the one for my presentation (above) to fit a package of Reese Cups.
To simplify things, I made the one for our team meeting (below) the size of a standard 4-1/4″ x 5-1/2″ card. I gave this one to my sister-in-law with a gift card inside, But 9 Hershey’s Nuggets fit nicely.

Here’s how I did it:
Click here for instructions on building the sliding box. Begin where it says “Score 4 times from the edge of all four sides,…” You will start with a piece of Basic Black card stock cut to 8-1/4″ x 9-1/2″, and the score lines should be every 1/2″. The cover is Basic Black card stock cut to 5-9/16″ x 11″
Click here for instructions on building the Twist Pop Up Panel Card. Build the entire card with Basic Black card stock, and the decorative pieces are Gold Foil Sheets.
Here’s how I did the extra decoration:
Cut 4 pieces of Basic Black card stock to 2-1/2″ x 2-1/4″. Stamp the largest firework from the It’s A Celebration stamp set in Versamark ink onto each piece, then heat emboss in gold. Adhere one of these to the gold foil piece on each section of the panel. Using the Large Numbers Framelits, cut out 2017 from a piece of Gold Foil Sheet. Adhere the numbers to the panel as shown.
Cut two pieces of Basic Black card stock to 3-1/2″ x 4-3/4″. Use the folded up mechanism to trace the point onto each piece. Stamp assorted fireworks from the same stamp set in Versamark ink onto both pieces, then heat emboss in gold. Adhere these to the two gold foil pieces on the inside of the mechanism.
Cut one piece of Basic Black card stock to 3-3/4″ x 5″.Stamp assorted fireworks from the same stamp set in Versamark ink onto both pieces, then heat emboss in gold. Adhere this to the gold foil piece on the front of the card base.
Cut one piece of Basic Black card stock to 1″ x 4-1/4″. Stamp the sentiment from the same stamp set in Versamark ink and heat emboss it in gold. Adhere it to the front of the card as shown.
Adhere the back of the finished card to the top of the sliding box cover – I like to cover the line where the two ends of the cover overlap. Put a treat inside the box. Then tie a piece of gold cord from the Baker’s Twine Trio Pack around it.
I also made a gift tag by cutting a piece of Gold Foil Sheet to 2″ x 4″, scoring it at 2″, and folding it in half. I punched the top corner with the 1/8″ Circle Punch and threaded another piece of the gold twine through the hole to tie it to the box.
Here’s what I used:
