Today I’m highlighting a bundle from page 31 in the new Holiday catalog: the Reason for the Season stamp set and the Festive Flower Builder Punch. The stamp set includes a three step poinsettia, three different sentiments, and images for the punched shapes.
I’m also using Home for Christmas Designer Series Paper and Gold Cording Trim from the new Holiday catalog. I wrapped a Take Out Box with the DSP and glued the poinsettia to it. Then I tied the tag on with the trim.
Note: I cut a 4″ x 12″ piece of DSP and it didn’t quite reach all the way around the box. So I cut a 4″ x 2″ piece to extend the belly band. The ends of the longer piece over lap the smaller piece on the bottom of the box.
I stamped the sentiment in Rose Red on Very Vanilla card stock, then cut it with the Note Tag Punch. I used the 1/8″ Circle Punch for the hole.
To build the flower, I punched a 1-3/8″ circle of Rose Red card stock and glued the first layer of petals to it. To give it dimension, I bent each petal in half, and used a Stampin’ Dimensional between the layers.
For the center of the flower, I first punched of the punch’s three center pieces in Hello Honey. I then punched a bunch of 1/8″ circles in Very Vanilla and glued them to the center.
During the holidays, or anytime really, it’s nice to have some little treat bags handy for impromptu gifts. Here’s a simple one that anyone will enjoy receiving…full of little goodies, of course. All these products are in the annual catalog, so you don’t have to wait for the new Holiday catalog to get started!
I used the Mini Treat Bag Thinlits to cut the bag from Merry Moments Designer Series Paper (DSP.) The Lots of Joy stamp set and the Tree Punch add the decor for the front of the bag. The plaid tree is adhered with Stampin’ Dimensionals, and the Baker’s Twine bow with a Mini Glue Dot. The Crumb Cake sentiment and Real Red ornament are stamped directly onto the Whisper White card stock.
I used Fringe Scissors to cut the edge of some gift wrap tissue, then tucked it into the bag.
This week’s Pals Paper Arts challenge is a sketch by Kerry Willard Bray.
Here’s the sketch…
…and here’s my card.
The Festive Fireplace stamp set and Festive Fireside Framelits Dies are available in a bundle in the new Holiday catalog. I’ve used them here along with another new product: the Winter Wonderland Designer Vellum Stack – 36 sheets of 6″ x 6″ vellum in 12 different designs. I thought this design looked like wallpaper.
I should mention that, except for the 5″ x 7″ card base and the vellum, all the paper I used on this card came from my scraps. I save all my paper scraps, and have a small drawer for each color. I’ve been ribbed for keeping scraps as small as I do, but that skinny piece of Whisper White certainly came in handy for the baseboard, and it prevented having to cut into a new piece.
I used Stampin’ Write Markers to color the flames (Pumpkin Pie,) the wreath berries (Real Red,) and the stockings (1 – Soft Sky, Mint Macaron, and Lost Lagoon; 2 – Crumb Cake and Soft Suede; 3 – So Saffron, Real Red, and Garden Green.)
The new Oh What Fun stamp set coordinates with the new Oh What Fun Tag Project Kit (which makes 30 tags!) but it’s perfectly fine on its own. Here I’ve paired it with Merry Moments Designer Series Paper from the annual catalog to make a simple, quick, and fun Christmas card.
For the three banners, I cut strips of DSP 1″ x 4″. I inserted one (green with white ornaments) into the Triple Banner Punch just far enough to cut the notch. I inserted a second one (stripes) all the way into the punch. I inserted the third one (red) all the way in and punched, then pushed it all the way in again and punched. This is how I ended up with three different length banners from three pieces of the same size paper. I glued them directly to the Crumb Cake card base with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.
By the way, after punching the red strip the second time, I ended up with a little chevron piece. Since I made about 30 of these cards, I plan to do something with those little pieces. Stay tuned.
I cut Whisper White card stock with the Circles Collection Framelits, then stamped the sentiment in Cherry Cobbler and the accents in Old Olive. With the photopolymer stamps, it was easy to line up the images on the cut circle. I adhered this to the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
For the last little touch, I added three Cherry Cobbler Candy Dots to the bottom right corner of the card base.
This card was so simple, it only took me about an hour to make 30 of them. I made them assembly line style. First I scored and cut the card bases. Then I cut the DSP strips. Then I punched the banners. Then I cut the circles. Then I laid out the circles and stamped them. Then I glued on the banners. Then I attached the circles. And lastly I stuck on the Candy Dots.
The only new product I used today is the Oh What Fun stamp set (page 5 in the Holiday catalog.)

The Embellished Ornaments stamp set and Delicate Ornament Thinlits Dies from the new Holiday Catalog come in a bundle so you can save 15%. They are sure to be some of your favorites.
Another new product you’ll love is the Precision Base Plate for the Big Shot. Intricate dies such as these are cut cleanly and smoothly, so those tiny pieces pop out with no trouble at all. The new base plate replaces one of the clear cutting plates. So your sandwich from bottom to top will be: Multipurpose Platform using all layers, Precision Base Plate, paper, die, clear cutting plate.
This is a super simple card: three die cut ornaments in Rich Razzleberry with Gold Foil tops on a Mossy Meadow card base, and a sentiment heat embossed in gold on vellum. Everything is adhered with another amazing new product, the Fine Tip Glue Pen.
The new products I used are: Precision Base Plate, Delicate Ornaments Thinlits Dies, Embellished Ornaments stamp set (sentiment,) Gold Cording Trim, Fine Tip Glue Pen

I am sooooooo excited about the new Holiday Catalog that begins on September 1! Here’s a video showing some more of my pre-preorder items.
It took me longer than I anticipated to get this video posted, so when I say “yesterday” in this one, I’m actually referring to the video I posted 6 days ago. 😀
By the way, even more new holiday products were just delivered, so I’ll get a video of those done as soon as I can. I’ve already used some of them, and they are amazing. There is a new tool that will blow your socks off! So stay tuned!
