Yesterday, I hosted an Open House style Launch Party highlighting products from the new Holiday Catalog. It was a lot of fun! Below are some photos of the displays, and instructions for the Make & Take. (Wouldn’t you know, I completely forgot to take any photos during the actual event. Guess I was having too much fun!)
Here are the Launch Party photos:

Here’s what we made:
I borrowed an extra stamp set, so there are more stamps in this photo than you actually need.
We used two stamp sets for this card. The Painted Harvest stamp set (which will be available in a Bundle with the new Leaf Punch) has some lovely sentiments, but I just adore the font used in the Count My Blessings stamp set.
If you’ve wanted to try a multi-step stamp set but were afraid to, the Painted Harvest stamp set is the perfect one to try first. The flower layers don’t have to be lined up exactly, so it’s good practice for the ones that do.

Here’s what we did:
Stamped with the Painted Harvest stamp set:
- first flower layer in Crushed Curry onto the front of the card base
- second flower layer in Cajun Craze
- flower center in Chocolate Chip
Stamped with the Count My Blessing stamp set:
- sentiment in Chocolate Chip
Assembled the card:
- used a Bone Folder to burnish the score line in the Note Card
- put the card in the envelope
That’s it! Using the pre-cut and pre-scored Note Cards makes this card super easy!
Here are today’s colors:
You can click on each color to see all the products that come in/with that color!

Apr 12, 2017 | Bags, Cards, Deals, Gallery, Retiring Products, Sales |
I like gummy bears. Well, I like gummy worms, so I assume I would like gummy bears. Aren’t all the gummy critters made of the same stuff? I prefer the yellow/orange/red ones (as opposed to the clear/red/green ones) so those are the ones I tried to replicate for today’s card made with the Just Keep Swimming stamp set.

The winner of the blog candy from my April 5 post is jamesmominwa@aol.com! I will email you today to get your mailing information, and will get your blog candy right out to you! Congratulations, jamesmominwa@aol.com!
Stampin’ Up! has released the list of retiring products from the 2016-2017 Annual Catalog and the 2017 Occasions Catalog. Scroll down for more information!
Here’s what I made:

Here’s what I did:
Cut and scored with my Stampin’ Trimmer:
- Real Red card stock (CS) to 4-1/4″ x 11″, then scored in half at 5-1/2″
- Pumpkin Pie CS to 3-1/2″ x 3-3/4″
- Daffodil Delight CS to 2-1/4″ x 3-1/2″
- Glassine Sheet to 3-1/2″ x 2-1/2″
- Whisper White CS to 4′ x 5-1/2″ for the inside
Stamped with the Just Keep Swimming stamp set:
- 3 gummy bears in Pumpkin Pie and Real Red onto a scrap of Peekaboo Peach CS – this is a three step stamp, but I used the CS as the base color, and stamped the second stamp in Pumpkin Pie, then the last stamp in Real Red
- sentiment in Pumpkin Pie ink onto the Daffodil Delight CS
Die cut using the Mini Treat Bag Framelits:
- just the top of the little glassine bag
Fussy cut with Paper Snips:
Embossed with Lucky Stars TIEF:

Lucky Stars TIEF © Stampin’ Up!
Assembled the card:
- glassine sheet folded into a bag big enough for the gummy bears, 1-1/2″ wide and bottom folded up 1/2″ – you can cut the top with the Mini Treat Bag Framelits either before or after you fold it
- bears adhered to inside of bag with Mini Glue Dots – I opened up the bag, placed the glue dots on the bears’ backs, arranged them face down on the inside front of the bag, then closed the bag, so the bears were adhered to the back part of the bag and the glue dots wouldn’t show
- folded the bag back into shape and sealed it shut in the back with Fast Fuse
- bag adhered to Daffodil Delight CS with Fast Fuse
- Daffodil Delight CS glued onto Pumpkin Pie CS
- Whisper White Organza Ribbon wrapped around front of card base, adhered with Fast Fuse, and tied in a bow
- Pumpkin Pie CS adhered to card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals
- Whisper White CS glued to the inside of the card base

Mar 28, 2017 | Cards, Deals, Gallery, Occasions, Sale-A-Bration |
I love making cards with layers. But sometimes I try to mix things up a bit by making a card with no extra layers. For today’s card I used the Brushstrokes background stamp, Peekaboo Peach Ombre Ink Pad, and Tasty Treats Designer Washi Tape to create the background directly on the Whisper White Thick card stock (CS) card base.
Here’s what I made:

Here’s what I did:
Cut and scored with my Stampin’ Trimmer:
- Whisper White Thick card stock (CS) to 4-1/4″ x 11″, then scored in half at 5-1/2″
Stamped with the Brushstrokes stamp set:
- stripes, using Peekaboo Peach Ombre ink pad, onto the front of the card base
Stamped with the Suite Sentiments stamp set:
- sentiment in Watermelon Wonder ink onto Whisper White CS
Die cut using the Stitched Shapes Framelits:
Assembled the card:
- applied strips of washi tape on card perpendicular to the stamped stripes, then trimmed along the card edges with Paper Snips
- sentiment glued onto a Watermelon Wonder doily
- trimmed ends of Watermelon Wonder ribbon with Paper Snips, then adhered it to the card front with Fast Fuse
- adhered doily over the ribbon with Stampin’ Dimensionals

I made these little Easter Baskets as favors for each place setting at the March Candy Hearts team meeting. You can read about the gathering here. I used Cupcakes & Carousels Designer Series Paper and the blue bows from the coordinating Embellishment Kit. These go together super fast.
Here’s what I made:

Here’s what I did:
Cut and scored with my Stampin’ Trimmer:
- Cupcakes & Carousels Designer Series Paper (DSP) to 3-3/4″ x 3-3/4″, then scored at 1-1/4″ and 2-1/2″ on one side, then rotated it 90 and scored again at 1-1/4″ and 2-1/2″
- DSP to 3/4″ x 4″ strip
Cut with Paper Snips:
- two score lines on each of two opposite sides
- Diagram: solid lines = cut, and dotted lines = fold

Assembled the basket:
- folded up the three sections along one of the cut sides
- angled in the two outer pieces and glued to the center piece
- repeated on the other side
- glued handle to inside of basket on each side
- adhered a bow to the basket with Mini Glue Dots
- filled with crinkly gift bag filler and Easter candies by Cadbury and Lindt
