The new Parcels & Petals bundle is so so so pretty! The stamp set includes some watercolor-y (watercolor-ish?) flowers and some very detailed designs and sentiments, and the die set features some very pretty shapes, as well as a die that makes a cute little box with top flaps that tuck into the sides. I CASEd today’s card from the new catalog – it’s a green card at the top left of page 27. I changed the color and some other details, but I think you can see how I arrived at the design below. The catalog card’s sentiment is in a different color from the rest of the card, and I tried that on my card as well, using Blueberry Bushel ink on the Purple Posy card.

Cut and scored with my Stampin’ Trimmer:
- Purple Posy card stock (CS) cut to 4-1/4″ x 11″, then scored in half at 5-1/2″
- Purple Posy CS layer cut to 4″ x 5-1/4″
- Whisper White CS cut to 4″ x 5-1/4″ for the inside of the card base
Stamped with the Parcels & Petals stamp set:
- flowers in Purple Posy ink all over the Purple Posy CS layer
- sentiment in Blueberry Bushel ink onto a scrap of Whisper White CS
Die cut using the Perfect Parcel Dies:
- sentiment
- flourish from a scrap of Purple Posy CS
- a line of tiny flowers from the Whisper White CS for the inside of the card (they’re all on one die)
Assembled the card:
- burnished the fold in the card base with a Bone Folder
- Purple Posy CS layer glued onto the front of the card base
- a piece of Purple Posy Scalloped Linen Ribbon adhered onto the layer using Tear & Tape
- die cut flourish glued over the ribbon at an angle
- sentiment glued onto the flourish
- Whisper White CS glued onto the inside of the card base

Today I’m sharing a card I made featuring the new Woven Threads suite on pages 12-14 of the 2019-2020 Annual Catalog. I used the Woven Heirlooms stamp set, Woven Threads Designer Series Paper, Woven Threads Sequin Assortment, and 5/8″ Woven Threads Trim. The suite also includes the Heirloom Frames Dies & 3D Embossing Folders. Of course, you can buy these products individually. You can also buy the bundle (stamp set and dies/embossing folders.) But Stampin’ Up! has added a new feature to this catalog. There is one item number that gets you one of everything in the suite: the bundle, paper, sequins, and trim. How easy is that?!

- Woven Threads Designer Series Paper (DSP) layer cut to 4-1/8″ x 4″
- Sahara Sand CS layer cut to 2-3/8″ x 2-3/8″
- Whisper White CS cut to 4″ x 5-1/4″ for the inside of the card base
Stamped with the Woven Heirlooms stamp set:
- sentiment in Purple Posy ink onto a scrap of Whisper White CS
Die cut using the Stitched Shapes Dies:
- sentiment
- a larger square from a scrap of Pretty Peacock CS
Assembled the card:
- burnished the fold in the card base with a Bone Folder
- sentiment glued onto the Sahara Sand CS layer
- Sahara Sand CS layer glued onto the Pretty Peacock die cut square
- Pretty Peacock die cut square adhered onto the DSP layer using Stampin’ Dimensionals
- DSP layer glued onto the Pretty Peacock CS layer, lined up with the top edge
- Sahara Sand trim, cut to fit onto the CS layer, adhered onto the back of a longer piece of Purple Posy Linen ribbon using Tear & Tape
- Purple Posy Linen ribbon adhered onto the Pretty Peacock CS layer using Tear & Tape, wrapping the ends around to the back of the layer
- Pretty Peacock CS layer glued onto the front of the card base
- 3 sequins glued around the sentiment
- Whisper White CS glued onto the inside of the card base

Do you like fussy cutting? I do sometimes. I have to be in the mood. But these large images from the new Mosaic Mood Specialty Designer Series Paper are a cinch to cut out. Cut using the Classic Label Punch:
Embossed using the Subtle embossing folder:
Assembled the card:
- burnished the fold in the card base with a Bone Folder
- Very Vanilla CS layer glued onto the front of the card base

- flowers adhered onto the Very Vanilla CS layer using Stampin’ Dimensionals

Cut and scored with my Stampin’ Trimmer:
For the card:
- Calypso Coral card stock (CS) cut to 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″, then scored in half at 4-1/4″
- Whisper White CS layer cut to 4-5/8″ x 3-3/8″
- Perennial Essence Designer Series Paper (DSP) layer cut to 4-1/2″ x 3-1/4″
- Whisper White CS layer cut to 3″ x 1/2″
- Whisper White CS cut to 4″ x 5-1/4″ for the inside of the card base
For the box:
- Calypso Coral CS cut to 3-3/8″ x 3-3/8″
- Whisper White CS layer cut to 2-3/4″ x 2-3/4″
- DSP layer cut to 2-5/8″ x 2-5/8″x
Stamped with the Floral Essence stamp set:
- 4 flowers in Versamark ink onto a piece of Petal Pink Vellum CS, then heat embossed in white
- sentiment in Crushed Curry ink onto the 1/2″ strip of Whisper White CS
Cut using the Perennial Flower Punch:
Cut using the Leaf Punch:
- 6 leaves from a piece of Old Olive Vellum CS
Cut using the Detailed Trio Punch:
- all four corners of the Whisper White CS for the inside of the card
Cut using Paper Snips:
- notch in one end of the sentiment strip
Assembled the card:
- burnished the fold in the card base with a Bone Folder
- DSP layer glued onto the Whisper White CS layer
- Whisper White CS layer glued onto the front of the card base
- 2 flowers adhered together in the center using a Mini Glue Dot
- 3 leaves adhered onto the back of the flower using Snail
- a Perennial Essence Floral Center applied onto the center of the flower
- 7″ piece of ribbon folded in half, and the ends cut at an angle
- ribbon adhered onto the DSP layer using Snail
- flower/leaves adhered over the ribbon using Snail
- sentiment adhered over the ribbon using Snail
- Whisper White CS glued onto the inside of the card base
Assembled the box:
- burnished all the folds in the box with a Bone Folder, then folded it together
- DSP layer glued onto the Whisper White CS layer
- Whisper White CS layer glued onto the Calypso Coral CS layer
- Calypso Coral CS layer glued onto the top of the box
- flower and leaves put together the same way as for the card above, then adhered onto the DSP layer using Snail
- ribbon tied around the box and into a bow (obviously, put your treat into the box before tying the ribbon around it)

The new Come Sail Away Suite has some wonderful nautical images, including sailboats, lighthouses, compasses, and more. The Sailing Home stamp set has some great heartfelt sentiments, too. The colors (blues, greens, and browns) in the Come Sail Away Designer Series Paper are perfect for masculine projects, but can be used for anyone for almost any occasion.
You may notice in the photo below that the inside of the card has layers. Doesn’t that look nice and fancy? The truth is, I did it to cover up some mistakes. I first stamped the sentiment and boat directly onto the inside of the card base. Perfect. Then I dropped one of the stamps and created a mess. No problem. I cut a layer to glue onto the inside and stamped it, but the boat didn’t come out so well this time. Why, oh why, wasn’t I using my Stamparatus? I stamped the boat again – cleanly this time – onto a scrap of cardstock and die cut it. It covered the bad one perfectly.
So the moral of this story is that sometimes when we make mistakes, we end up with something even better. I like the layered inside. How about you?

This mini card is so simple but so adorable. It’s 3″ x 3″ so it fits perfectly into one of our 3″ x 3″ envelopes. (The envelopes are actually 3-1/8″ x 3-1/8″.)
This soft blue ticking pattern is one of my favorites from the new Come Sail Away Designer Series Paper. It’s part of the Come Sail Away Suite in the new 2019-2020 Annual Catalog.
