- Fruit Stand DSP to 3/4″ x 4-3/4″

I love showing off my team members, the Candy Hearts! It’s a very talented group of stampers. Today I’m featuring a card made by Caitlin Jones. She used the Love & Affection stamp set, the Affectionately Yours Specialty Designer Series Paper (DSP,) and the Copper Stampin’ Emboss Powder to create this sweet card.

Here’s what she made:

Here’s what she did:
The card base is Crumb Cake card stock (CS) with a piece of Affectionately Yours Specialty DSP glued to the front. Then there’s a small piece of Night of Navy CS with a slightly smaller piece of Watermelon Wonder CS on top.
The sentiment from the Love & Affection stamp set is heat embossed in copper. The two small flowers are stamped in Night of Navy.
Here’s what you need to make your own version of Caitlin’s card:

Welcome to InKing Royalty’s February Blog Hop! Today’s hop is filled with projects inspired by a Birthday Bliss theme.  What fun! When I learned the hop’s theme, I knew I had to make a pop up card with the Balloon Adventures bundle and the Party Animal Designer Series Paper (DSP.)

Here’s what I did:
Cut and scored with my Stampin’ Trimmer:
- Pacific Point card stock (CS) cut to 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″, and scored in half at 4-1/4″.
- Crushed Curry CS cut to 4″ x 5-1/4″.
- Whisper White CS cut to 3-3/4″ x 5″.
- Whisper White CS cut to 5-1/4″ x 8-1/4″ then scored in half at 4-1/8″.
- Party Animals DSP (front) to 3-3/4″ x 2-1/2″.
- 2 pieces of Party Animals DSP to __” x 5″.
Die cut with theBalloon Pop-Up Thinlits:
- I laid the largest die from the set on the larger (5-1/4″ x 8-1/4″) piece of Whisper White CS, lining up the center markers of the die with the score line on the paper, and ran it through my Big Shot. The die cuts out the balloons and scores the lines on either side.
Stamped with the Balloon Adventures stamp set:
Front:
- sentiment in Emerald Envy ink onto the top half of the smaller (3-3/4″ x 5″) piece of Whisper White CS.
Inside:
- balloons from the Balloon Adventures stamp set in Crushed Curry, Emerald Envy, and Tangerine Tango onto the die cut piece.
- banner in Pacific Point onto the die cut piece.
- banner sentiment in Emerald Envy onto the die cut piece.
Colored:
- filled in the letters on the front with a Tangerine Tango Stampin’ Write Marker.
Assembled card:
Front:
- glued a piece of Party Animal DSP to the bottom half of the smaller piece of Whisper White CS.
- wrapped a piece of Emerald Envy Taffeta Ribbon along the line and adhered the ends to the back. Adhere the first piece of ribbon only to the back and not to the front, so you can slide the second piece under it to tie the knot.
- slid a smaller piece of the ribbon under the first piece and tied a simple knot.
- glued card front to the Crushed Curry CS.
- glued the Crushed Curry CS to the front of the Pacific Point CS card base.
Inside:
- folded the die cut piece on the score lines and made sure it would fold flat inside the card base, then glued the panel at each end to the inside of the card base. Do not worry about folding the loop in the balloon string in the center. It will be hidden when the card is closed.
- glued the two remaining pieces of DSP to the white panels on each side.
Here’s what I used :

I love showing off other stampers’ work. Today I’m sharing a card that one of my customers, Katie Carter, made in my July Card Smorgasbord. Usually attendees make the cards just like the samples, but Katie decided to change this one up. The sample is a card I made months ago – you can see it here.
And here’s Katie’s card. I love the way she used different colors for the balloons. She used Pink Pirouette, Blushing Bride, Flirty Flamingo, Watermelon Wonder, Mint Macaron and Emerald Envy.

This isn’t the first card of Katie’s that I’ve shared on my blog. You can see her adorable blue baby card here.
Thanks, Katie, for allowing me to share your talent with my blog followers!

Debbie used the Basket for You stamp set, Bunch of Banners Framelits, Linen Thread, card stock (Crumb Cake, Melon Mambo, Whisper White,) Melon Mambo ink, Stampin’ Write Markers, and a Pearl Basic Accent.

Donica used the Rose Wonder stamp set, Playful Palette DSP, Peekaboo Peach Ruched Ribbon, and card stock (Whisper White, Basic Gray.)

Lonita used the One Big Meaning and the Touches of Texture stamp sets, card stock (Dapper Denim, Sweet Sugarplum, Whisper White,) and inks (Emerald Envy, Sweet Sugarplum, Basic Black.)

Yesterday I shared a baby card made by Katie Carter. You can see it here. Today I’m sharing a beautiful sympathy card made by her mom, Brenda Carswell.

Of course, we hope we never need a sympathy card, but it is a part of life. Brenda wanted to make a card for a friend who just lost her mother.
She started by looking through the Designer Series Papers to find a design she liked. She settled on the Blooms and Bliss DSP. She originally chose the design on the other side of this pattern, but realized this side would actually be better for this card. It’s the one at far left in this photo:

Blooms & Bliss Designer Series Paper

The card base is Sweet Sugarplum card stock with a Rich Razzleberry layer and the DSP glued on.
The sentiment from the Heartfelt Sympathy stamp set is stamped in Rich Razzleberry ink onto Whisper White card stock, then cut with a die from the Layering Ovals Framelits. It is glued to the card front.

I forgot to get a photo of the inside of the card. She stamped a sentiment from the Thoughts & Prayers stamp set in Rich Razzleberry directly onto the card base interior. It’s the one at bottom right in this photo, that begins, “Praying for friends…”

Here’s what she used:
