Today I’m sharing another swap card I received at our May Candy Hearts team meeting. It was made by Judy Newsome from Lafayette, GA. She used the new Varied Vases Bundle and Share What You Love Designer Series Paper to make this super duper diagonal gate fold card.
Here’s what she made:



Here’s what she did:
Cut and scored with my Stampin’ Trimmer:
- Mint Macaron card stock (CS) cut to 8-1/4″ x 5-1/2″, then scored at 2-3/4″ and 5-1/2″, then scored diagonally on both end sections

- 2 different patterns Share What You Love Designer Series Paper (DSP) cut to 2-1/2″ x 5-1/4″ then cut in half diagonally
- Whisper White CS cut to 2-1/2″ x 5-1/4″
Stamped with the Varied Vases stamp set:
- inside sentiment and flowers in Rich Razzleberry ink onto the Whisper White CS
- stems in Mint Macaron ink onto the Whisper White CS
- Birthday sentiment and flowers in Rich Razzleberry ink onto a scrap of Whisper White CS
- stems in Mint Macaron ink onto the scrap of Whisper White CS
Cut using the Vases Builder Punch:
- one vase from a scrap of Rich Razzleberry CS
Cut using the Stitched Shapes Framelits:
Cut using the Layering Squares Framelits:
- a scalloped square from Rich Razzleberry CS
- a scalloped square from Mint Macaron CS
Assembled the gate fold card:
- burnished the folds in the card base with a Bone Folder – The two vertical lines will fold toward the inside of the card, and the two diagonal lines will fold toward the outside of the card.
- larger Whisper White CS glued onto the inside center of the card base
- two halves of one DSP pattern glued onto the outer most diagonal sections of the card base
- flip over the card base and glued the two halves of the other DSP pattern onto the inner diagonal sections of the card base
- sentiment glued onto the Rich Razzleberry die cut square
- Rich Razzleberry die cut square glued onto the Mint Macaron die cut square
- half of the Mint Macaron square glued onto the left most diagonal DSP, with the center sentiment facing up
- a Faceted Dot applied to the sentiment square

At our Candy Hearts team meeting in May, I received some great swap cards. Today I’m sharing one that was made by Susan Ballentine. She used the new Share What You Love Designer Series Paper along with some great products that carried over to the new catalog to make this great card in shades of green. I love all the “white space” on this card, with all the decor concentrated at the bottom right. It has an asymmetrical but balanced look.
Here’s what she made:


Here’s what she did:
Cut and scored with her Stampin’ Trimmer:
- Tranquil Tide card stock (CS) cut to 8-1/2″ x 5-1/2″, then scored in half at 4-1/4″
- Share What You Love Designer Series Paper (DSP) cut to 4-1/4″ x 3″, then cut diagonally from the top right to the bottom left
- Whisper White CS cut to 4″ x 5-1/4″
Die cut using the Eclectic Layers Thinlits:
- leaves from a scrap of Lemon Lime Twist CS x 3
- the geometric pattern from a scrap of Mint Macaron CS, then cut it out around the edges using Paper Snips
Die cut using the Detailed Dragonfly Thinlits:
- one dragonfly from a scrap of Tranquil Tide CS
- one dragonfly from a scrap of the DSP
Assembled the card:
- burnished the fold in the card base with a Bone Folder
- triangular DSP glued onto the front of the card base
- geometric pattern glued onto the front of the card base
- leaves adhered to the card front using Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals
- dragonflies glued together, then adhered over the leaves using Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals
- pearls applied to the card base inside the geometric shape
- Whisper White CS glued to the inside of the card base

Today I’m thrilled to get to share another card made by one of my verytalented Candy Hearts team numbers, Linda Krueger of thestampcoach.com. She made this beautiful sympathy card using the Flourishing Phrases stamp set, in Night of Navy, Crumb Cake, and Whisper White.
Here’s what she made:

Cut and scored with her Stampin’ Trimmer:
- Night of Navy card stock (CS) cut to 4-1/4″ x 11″, then scored in half at 5-1/2″
- Whisper White CS layer cut to 3-1/4″ x 4-1/2
- Crumb Cake CS layer cut to 3-1/8″ x 4-3/8″
- Whisper White CS cut to 4″ x 5-1/4″ for the inside of the card
Stamped with the Flourishing Phrases stamp set:
- flourish and sentiment in Night of Navy ink onto the Crumb Cake CS layer
Colored using a White Stampin’ Chalk Marker:
- inside the stamped flowers and leaves
Assembled the card:
- burnished the fold in the card base with a Bone Folder
- Crumb Cake CS layer glued onto the Whisper White CS layer
- Night of Navy Gingham Ribbon wrapped around and adhered to the back of the Whisper White CS layer using Tear & Tape
- smaller piece of Night of Navy ribbon tied around the first piece of ribbon
- 4 pearls applied to the stamped image
- Whisper White CS layer glued onto the front of the card base
- Whisper White CS glued onto the inside of the card

Today I’m sharing a card made by Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator Susan Ballentine. Susan is on my Candy Hearts team, and this was her swap card at a recent team gathering. She used the Cake Soiree stamp set and Sweet Soiree Designer Series Paper to create this lovely card. With a sentiment of simply “Celebrate” it’s perfect for any celebratory occasion.
Here’s what she made:


Here’s what she did:
Cut and scored with her Stampin’ Trimmer:
- Old Olive card stock (CS) cut to 8-1/2″ x 5-1/2″, then scored in half at 4-1/4″
- Sweet Soiree Specialty Designer Series Paper (DSP) layer cut to 4″ x 5″
- DSP layer cut to 3″ x 3″ (different pattern)
- Whisper White CS layer cut to 1″ x 2″
- Whisper White CS cut to 4″ x 5-1/4″ for the inside of the card
Stamped with the Cake Soiree stamp set:
- sentiment in Berry Burst ink onto the Whisper White CS layer
Cut using the Envelope Punch Board:
- rounded the corners of the sentiment layer
Assembled the card:
- burnished the fold in the card base with a Bone Folder
- smaller DSP layer glued onto the larger DSP layer
- ribbon adhered onto the larger DSP layer, and the ends wrapped around to the back, using Tear & Tape
- larger DSP layer glued onto the front of the card base
- sentiment layer adhered to the DSP using Stampin’ Dimensionals
- 3 rhinestones applied to the ribbon
- Whisper White CS glued to the inside of the card base

- Whisper White Thick card stock (CS) cut to 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″, then scored in half at 4-1/4″
- Powder Pink CS layer cut to 5-1/4″ x 4″
- Whisper White CS layer cut to 5-1/8″ x 3-7/8″
Stamped with the Southern Serenade stamp set:
- lace background in Powder Pink ink onto the Whisper White CS layer
- lace background in Powder Pink ink onto a scrap of Whisper White CS
Stamped with the Special Celebrations stamp set:
- sentiment in Berry Burst ink onto the lace stamped Whisper White scrap of CS
Stamped with the Definitely Dahlia stamp set:
- large flower in Berry Burst ink onto the lace stamped Whisper White CS layer, then covered it with clear embossing powder, and heat embossed the image
Die cut using the Stitched Shapes Framelits:

Assembled the card:
- burnished the fold in the card base with a Bone Folder
- Powder Pink CS layer glued onto the front of the card base
- stamped layer glued onto the Powder Pink CS layer

Today continues my posts of cards made by my Candy Hearts team members. Linda Krueger made this card using the Swirly Scribbles Thinlits Dies, the Marbled background stamp, and the Pieces & Patterns stamp set. I love how the combo of Real Red and Crumb Cake inks on the background.
