Welcome to InKing Royalty’s September Blog Hop! Today’s Tricked Out Treats Blog Hop is filled with spooky, fun projects for Halloween. We are excited to share our creations with you today and hope these projects inspire you. After you read my post, I hope you’ll hop over to the next person on the list at the base of this post.
Today’s project falls under the category of “simple projects.” You could whip out a bunch of these little treat bags in no time, plenty enough for all your Trick-or-Treaters, neighbors, coworkers, friends, the mailman,… anyone really. The large stamped image is from the Creep It Real stamp set, which contains several fun Halloweeny images and sentiments. Take a look:
Basic Black card stock (CS) cut to 3″ x 3″, and scored in half at 1-1/2″
Pumpkin Pie CS cut to 1-3/4″ x 3″
Stamped with the Creep it Real stamp set:
mouth image in Basic Black ink onto a piece of Whisper White CS (I used regular Whisper White CS, but you can use the Thick Whisper White CS for more stability.
Colored using Stampin’ Write Markers:

gums in a lighter shade of Real Red , using a Blender Pen
Cut using Paper Snips:

Assembled the treats bag:
put Pumpkin Pie CS in bottom of a 3″ x 6″ Gusseted Cellophane Bag to help keep it flat
put candy corn into the bag
folded over the top of the bag, folded Basic Black CS over it, and stapled it on
top of mouth image glued onto the Basic Black CS

The 2017 Holiday Catalog has a new folded tag bundle called Seasonal Chums. (The first folded tag bundle is called A Little Wild, and it’s on page 108 of the Annual Catalog.) Seasonal Chums has three adorable tags (jack-o-lantern, reindeer, and snowman) as well as five sentiment stamps. Today I’ve used the jack-o-lantern to create a tag for a 2″ x 6″ Cellophane Bag full of black jelly beans. I’ll most definitely be giving this away, because I hate licorice – yes, I’m using the word hate. But I love the this bundle!
Here’s what I made:

Stamped with the Seasonal Chums stamp set:
jack-o-lantern tag in Basic Black ink onto a piece of Pumpkin Pie card stock (CS)
Die cut using the Seasonal Tags Framelits:

Colored with Stampin’ Write Markers:

stem with Soft Suede marker
Assembled the project:
filled a 2″ x 6″ Cellophane Bag with black jelly beans
tied tag onto the top of the bag with Vintage Crochet Trim

Continuing with the Halloween theme of this week, today’s project is a bag full of yummy treats. I made the bag using the Mini Treat Bag Thinlits Dies, Graveyard Gate stamp set, Spooky Cat Bundle (Spooky Cat stamp set and Cat Punch,) Black Mini Sequin Trim and Vintage Crochet Trim. If you like giving little treats and gifts, you should definitely own the Mini Treat Bag Thinlits. Then all you need is card stock (CS) or Designer Series Paper (DSP) to create all the bags you need!

Stamped with the Graveyard Gate stamp set:
little candies all over the bottom half of the bag
Stamped with the Spooky Cat stamp set:
sentiment onto the upper right of the bag front
cat in Versamark ink onto a scrap of Pumpkin Pie CS, then heat embossed in clear
covered the entire cat image in black ink, swiping the ink pad over the paper
wiped away the black with a paper towel to uncover the embossed bits
NOTE: I used Basic Black Archival ink, which didn’t entirely come off the embossed areas. In the future I’ll use Memento Black ink, or a Stampin’ Write Marker, instead.
Cut using the Cat Punch:

Assembled the bag:
glued together the two parts of the bag
adhered Black Mini Sequin Trim and the black Vintage Crochet Trim all the way around the bag with Tear & Tape
glued the cat to the top part of the bag
applied Rhinestone Basic Jewels to the cat as eyes (see my post here to see how to make the rhinestones green)
I filled this bag with Lindor Extra Dark Chocolate Truffles, mainly because they have black wrappers (and because I had them on hand because they’re one of my favorites ever!)

Welcome someone to the neighborhood, to the office, or to the family with a crate full of goodies. The Wood Words Bundle (Wood Words stamp set and Wood Crate Framelits Dies) make it quick and easy to whip up the crate. Add some treats in a cellophane bag and some ribbon, and you’re done.

Stamped with the Wood Words stamp set:
sentiment in Smoky Slate ink onto a scrap of Whisper White card stock (CS)
Die cut using the Wood Crate Framelits:

Assembled the crate:
bottoms of the two crate pieces glued together
flaps glued to the inside of each end of the crate
adhered ribbon around crate with Fast Fuse
tied a bow with a separate piece of ribbon and adhered to the crate with Fast Fuse, covering the ribbon’s seam on the crate
inked edges of tag in Smoky Slate ink with a Sponge Dauber
put treats in the gusseted bag
tied the bag closed with a piece of Whisper White Baker’s Twine, and tied on the tag
I had some grey gift bag filler on hand, but you could cut Smoky Slate CS into thin strips and crumple them with your hands

Today’s project is a super quick and easy little gift bag made with the new Delightful Daisy Designer Series Paper, the Label Me Pretty stamp set, and the Pretty Label Punch. By the way, this stamp set and punch are available as a bundle to save you 10%! Woohoo!
Here’s what I made:

Cut and scored with my Stampin’ Trimmer:
Delightful Daisy Designer Series Paper (DSP) cut to 10-1/2″ x 10″
scored along the 10-1/2″ side at 2″, 5″, 7″, and 10″
scored along the 10″ side at 2″
Stamped with the Label Me Pretty stamp set:
sentiment in Calypso Coral, Old Olive, and Night of Navy inks onto a piece of Whisper White card stock (CS)
NOTE: instead of ink pads, I used markers to color the different parts of the stamp
Cut using the Pretty Label Punch:
sentiment
Cut using Paper Snips:
the 4 score lines along the 10-1/2″ side, but only 2″, up to the score line perpendicular to them (solid lines in diagram below)
cut away smallest rectangle (blue area in diagram below)
Assembled the bag:
burnished all score lines with a Bone Folder. This step isn’t absolutely necessary, but it makes the difference between an okay bag and a great looking bag.
applied glue to the skinny flap and adhered it to the opposite end
folded in all the bottom flaps, gluing between all of them
turned down the top of the bag twice, and tied a piece of Old Olive 3/8″ Mini Chevron Ribbon around it
adhered the punched sentiment to the front of the bag with Stampin’ Dimensionals
The last step is to insert some little goodies!
