If you’ve been reading my blog this week, you know that I’ve been in Halloween mode, and you know that the Spooky Cat Bundle, Spooky Night Designer Series Paper (DSP,) and The Little Things stamp set are perfect for this holiday. For today’s project I used all three to create this Mini Pizza Box treat. I also used the Stitched Shapes Framelits Dies to cut a square window in the box lid, so you can see the lemon lime “twist” jelly beans inside. I didn’t put a sentiment of any kind on this project, because I think the cat on the front says it all.
Here’s what I made:
Here’s what I did:
Cut with my Stampin’ Trimmer:
Window Sheet cut to 3-1/4″ x 3-1/4″
Stamped with the Spooky Cat stamp set:
one rat in black Memento ink on the lid
Stamped with The Little Things stamp set:
spiders around all four sides of the box, and one on the box lid.
NOTE: It’s much easier to stamp the box before you fold it to assemble!)
Die cut using the Stitched Shapes Framelits:
square window from the box lid
Cut using the Cat Punch:
one black cat from Spooky Night Designer Series Paper (DSP)
colored cat’s eyes with a Lemon Lime Twist marker, then covered them with a dot of glue from the Fine Tip Glue Pen. Allow the glue to dry completely before using. You should probably do this step first.
Assembled the project:
Window Sheet adhered to inside of box lid with Tear & Tape
adhered cat to the Window Sheet with Tear & Tape
filled box with Lemon Lime Jelly Bellies

I love to show off my super talented Candy Hearts team members. Today I’m sharing a card designed by Kimberly Laidley, using the Spooky Cat and Jar of Love stamp sets and the Spooky Night Designer Series Paper (DSP.) I think it’s brilliant! Of course, I love Halloween so this is right up my alley. Tell me, do you love it, or does it give you the shivers, or both?
I love the piece of DSP she used for the background. This pattern is creepy and cute and sophisticated all at the same time.
Here’s what she made:
Here’s what she did:
Cut and scored with a Stampin’ Trimmer:
Basic Black card stock (CS) cut to 8-1/2″ x 5-1/2″, then scored in half at 4-1/4″
Spooky Night Designer Series Paper (DSP) cut to 4″ x 5-1/4″
Basic Black CS cut to 3″ x 3-1/4″
Very Vanilla CS cut to 2-3/4″ x 3″
Very Vanilla CS cut to 4″ x 5-1/4″ for the inside
Stamped with the Jar of Love stamp set:
the jar in Memento Black ink onto the smaller piece of Very Vanilla CS
Stamped with the Spooky Cat stamp set:
rats in Memento Black ink, climbing and falling out of the jar
sentiment in Memento Black ink onto a separate scrap of Very Vanilla CS
Die cut using the Layering Circles Framelits:
sentiment
slightly larger circle from a scrap of Basic Black CS
Assembled the card:
smaller piece of Very Vanilla CS glued onto the small Basic Black CS layer
small Basic Black CS layer glued onto the DSP
DSP glued onto the front of the card base

I am loving the new Treat Tubes! Just fill them with something small, add a tag, and you have a sweet little gift. You can see the first Treat Tube Halloween treat I made here.Today I’ve once again used the Spooky Cat stamp set, but I used the Best Badge Punch to make the tag. I also made the tag from Painted Autumn Designer Series Paper (DSP) instead of from card stock (CS.) The possibilities are endless! The Jute Twine really adds an Autumnal feel to this project.
Here’s what I made:
Here’s what I did:
Stamped with the Spooky Cat stamp set:
sentiment in Early Espresso ink onto a piece of Painted Autumn Designer Series paper (DSP)
Cut using the Best Badge Punch:
sentiment
Cut using the 1/2″ Circle Punch:
2 circles from Tangerine Tango card stock (CS)
Assembled the card:
filled a Treat Tube with Reese’s Pieces candies, and put in the cork
2 small circles glued to either side of the tag
punched through all three layers with the 1/8″ Circle Punch
ran Jute Twine through the hole and tied onto the cork

Continuing with the Halloween theme of this week, today’s project is a bag full of yummy treats. I made the bag using the Mini Treat Bag Thinlits Dies, Graveyard Gate stamp set, Spooky Cat Bundle (Spooky Cat stamp set and Cat Punch,) Black Mini Sequin Trim and Vintage Crochet Trim. If you like giving little treats and gifts, you should definitely own the Mini Treat Bag Thinlits. Then all you need is card stock (CS) or Designer Series Paper (DSP) to create all the bags you need!
both pieces of the bag from Pumpkin Pie card stock (CS)
Stamped with the Graveyard Gate stamp set:
little candies all over the bottom half of the bag
Stamped with the Spooky Cat stamp set:
sentiment onto the upper right of the bag front
cat in Versamark ink onto a scrap of Pumpkin Pie CS, then heat embossed in clear
covered the entire cat image in black ink, swiping the ink pad over the paper
wiped away the black with a paper towel to uncover the embossed bits
NOTE: I used Basic Black Archival ink, which didn’t entirely come off the embossed areas. In the future I’ll use Memento Black ink, or a Stampin’ Write Marker, instead.
Cut using the Cat Punch:
the embossed cat
Assembled the bag:
glued together the two parts of the bag
adhered Black Mini Sequin Trim and the black Vintage Crochet Trim all the way around the bag with Tear & Tape
glued the cat to the top part of the bag
applied Rhinestone Basic Jewels to the cat as eyes (see my post here to see how to make the rhinestones green)
I filled this bag with Lindor Extra Dark Chocolate Truffles, mainly because they have black wrappers (and because I had them on hand because they’re one of my favorites ever!)

The Little things stamp set is really versatile, with stamp themes for Halloween, Christmas, Valentines, or any other occasion when you want to give someone a treat or gift. Today’s project uses the Spooky-licious stamp with a sponged Mini Pizza Box cut with the Stitched Shapes Framelits Dies, and a Window Sheet. To see the other project I made using this same stamp, click here.
You should have seen me shopping for candies to put in all the treat containers I’ve been making. Our local supermarket has a large of candies sold by weight, so you can get as much of each type as you want. I was buying lots of jelly beans because they are so easy to use for this. I got a few odd looks as I put bag after bag of candies into my cart. Someone said I must really like them and asked me to recommend some good jelly bean flavors. Unfortunately I couldn’t’ help them because I wasn’t buying them by flavor. Instead I was buying them by color to match my projects!
Here’s what I made:
Here’s what I did:
Cut with my Stampin’ Trimmer:
Window Sheet cut to 3-1/4″ x 3-1/4″
Stamped with The Little Things stamp set:
Spookylicious image in Basic Black Archival ink onto the cut Window Sheet
Spookylicious image in Basic Black Archival ink onto a scrap of Pumpkin Pie card stock (CS)
Cut using Paper Snips:
the banner from the image stamped onto Pumpkin Pie CS
Die cut using the Stitched Shapes Framelits:
circle from the top of the Mini Pizza Box
NOTE: When we demonstrators were first introduced to the new Holiday Catalog in Thailand in July, I was told to use the Stitched Shapes Framelits Dies instead of the Layering Circles/Ovals/Squares Framelits Dies, because they cut through the thick box better.
Colored using Stampin’ Sponges:
the exterior of the Mini Pizza Box in Pumpkin Pie and Tangerine Tango inks, layering the colors over and over to achieve the look I wanted (this actually goes very quickly)
Assembled the project:
Window Sheet adhered to the inside of the box lid, with the stamped image showing through the hole, using Tear & Tape
banner adhered to the outside of the box lid, covering the banner portion of the image on the Window Sheet, using Tear & Tape
I filled the box with white jelly beans so the image on the Window Sheet would show up
